Vuyatela Lodge, both extraordinary and wonderful, is situated
in the ‘Big 5’ Sabi Sand Game Reserve bordering the world
famous Kruger National Park.
This exclusive lodge is a celebration of modern South Africa in all
its intricate glory with an extensive collection of contemporary
African artwork. This is an unique African experience, from the
coke bottle chandeliers to the extraordinary attention to detail
in mosaics and other art.
Vuyatela meaning, ‘come and visit again’ exudes warm African
hospitality.
Offering exclusive privacy, each of the 8 air-conditioned
suites is a collection of buildings joined to each other. The
suites are made up of a bedroom, dressing room, spacious
bathroom (with indoor bath and outdoor shower), lounge,
viewing deck and plunge pool.
The lounge is separated from the bedroom by a beautiful
Teak deck, which ends at the private plunge pool. The view
from the Teak deck is into pristine African bush, with its
bountiful wildlife.
The chalets reflect local architecture without sacrificing
luxury in any way. Hand-made mosaics decorate the bathrooms, and the exteriors were masterfully created by local
Shangaan villagers.
Culinary Delights
The delicious cuisine, served in a variety of
settings, caters for all tastes and takes guests
back to the basics of Southern African food
with classic and creatively prepared dishes.
Romantic private dinners can also be enjoyed
in the privacy of your suite’s deck.
Relaxation...
Spend time relaxing in the tranquil wellness centre named
the Rubbing Post, with an array of pampering treatments, or
alternatively burn off some energy in the well-equipped gym.
The cosy library has two computers with permanent internet
access, and a flat-screen TV where wildlife films can be enjoyed.
Wonderful safari experiences abound, from
open-vehicle game drives and guided bush
walks getting you close to the ‘Big 5’, to birdwatching from the suspended tower.
Excursions to a nearby Shangaan village are
also offered, where you have the opportunity of
interacting with the local people in an authentic
and contemporary African environment, learning about their customs and traditions.
