represents a modern system, within
which are operating several associated
companies, which market their services
and equipment on the outside under the
same registered trademark. All companies
within the Varnost business system are
joint stock companies.
Our offer provides a complete range
of services in the field of protection of
persons, property, security engineering
while the manufacture of upgrades for fire
engines as well as for vehicles intended
for the transportation of valuable daily
proceeds rounds up the entire sales mix.

represents a dynamic system, continuously
developing and adjusting to the needs and
requirements of our customers. Special
attention is given to improvements

History of the Business system Varnost
Maribor dates back into the year of 1985,
when the company Varnost Ljubljana, TOZD
Varnost Maribor Tabor was established.
When established, the company employed
160 workers, and in addition to business
premises of the size of two-room apartment
the start-up capital also represented two
Renault 4 passenger cars.
Today, the Business system Varnost Maribor
represents the second largest security
company in Republic of Slovenia, which
employs more than 2.000 people, generates
more than 28 million of revenues and has
its own security control centre connected to
more than 3.500 different facilities.
The business system Varnost Maribor does
follow only meeting its business objectives,
but is also aware of its social responsibility
towards the environment.

03 Advantages abroad
Slovenia is the first among the former common countries,
which has codified the activity of private security already in
the year 1994.
The Business system Varnost Maribor deliberately
transfers all the domestic »know-how« in foreign
countries in all areas of activities.
All new members from the former common state, with the exception of
Serbia, have transferred the complete legislation and standardization,
positive practice and experiences from Slovenia. Republic of Serbia
still does not have a Private Security Act.
Visions of subsidiary companies in the countries of the
former common state are not in size but recognition for
quality.
In those particular areas, which have
no local regulations or standards, the
subsidiary company applies Slovenian
regulations.
Slovenia is the only one among these countries, which
is included in the Confederation of European Security
Services CoESS with its headquarters in Belgium, as a
full member.
Security, which the company carries out abroad, have so far been
entrusted to us by the following companies: Nova Ljubljanska banka
d.d., Nova Kreditna banka d.d., Merkur d.d., Gorenje d.d., Petrol d.d.,
Intereuropa d.d., Zavarovalnica Triglav d.d., Ministry for Foreign Affairs

accordance with unified but market
customized systematized procedures.
Varnost Maribor business system is the only Slovenian company in the field of private security having its
subsidiaries for all types and forms of security in Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo and

SECURITY GUARDS IN STORES
The protection of persons is ensured by a
combination of various security measures
through technical facilities and physical
security. Security guards – bodyguards, who
participate in special training to be able to
perform this kind of work, implement the
process of protection. In addition to the basic
knowledge, obtained within the training
process for becoming a security guard, our
employees must also cope with numerous
skills that are obtained during the training
process.
The services of physical security cover the
whole variety of security tasks, including the
implementation of rounds , straightforward
activities of guarding and all the way to
the most demanding and complex security
reception work. The Ministry of the Interior
of the Republic of Slovenia has issued our
company a suitable licence regarding the
protection of property while the company
itself employs qualified and competent
security guards for all kinds of protection.
Our security guards who work in stores
posses, in addition to the basic knowledge
in the area of protection, also additional
knowledge, necessary for performing
protection services in the stores. They are
also qualified for handling the technical
devices such as video surveillance
systems and various forms of electronical
and technical protection of goods. Our
professional approach is the key to
handling even the most complicated and

front door. The highest possible form
of mechanical protection of residential
buildings and business premises against
burglaries by villains is provided by security doors. Our company manufactures
the following types of security doors
- burglar-proof
- fire-proof,
- bullet-proof
Our company obtained burglar-proof certificate, security level III, which was issued by the Holzforschung Institute in
Vienna for the burglar-proof doors, and
with a fire resisting attestation for while
single-wing and double-wing doors (fire
resistance Ei30 and E90). It is also possible to install different kinds of security and fire rated glass into the doors.
The hardware is also available in various
combinations. Fire-proof doors with fire
resistance Ei30CS and Ei60CS are made
according to the system of globally recognized manufacturer Jan- sen. The
company also makes bullet-proof doors
made of sheet metal, which also has a
bullet-proof certificate.
Mechanical protection systems represent an integral part of technical protection, but differ from other form of this
type, because they are not electronically

There is almost no company in Slovenia
left that would not be aware of the risk
when transporting the money and other
valuable shipments. Transportation of
money represents the most sensitive
area of protection and for this reason
more and more companies decide for
professional security services because
the risks of assaults and hazardous
thefts are becoming too big to be able to
manage them on their own.
We have also obtained all necessary permits and our services can be implemented in other countries of the European
Union. In accordance with the applicable
legislation (Rules on the transport and
protection of money and other valuable
deliveries, Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, number 96/2005) our
vehicles are installed with surveillance
systems, which enable the additional
operator in the security control centre to
continuously monitor the position of the
vehicles in the field and also with continuous and direct communication systems.
Along performing the services of transportation and money protection we also
provide the transportation and transfer
of mail, storage of cash and other valuables in the safe (which is technically
protected and secured 24 hours a day) as
well as transportation of other goods –
at our customers request. We have also
taken care of our customer's safety. We

Carrying out different training and educational programmes in our business
system is no novelty, however, in the
last year we made a crucial step firstly by
obtaining a public authorisation for carrying out professional trainings and educational programmes in accordance with
the Private Security Act. The above-mentioned authorisation was issued to us by
the Ministry of Home Affairs.
