82% Light Transmission
Contrast Lens: A revolutionary gradient lens coating that provides a
superior alternative to the standard clear lens. The Contrast lens enhances
visual acuity while blocking 30% of blue light waves that are harmful to
your eyes. The result is sharper, clearer images and less eyestrain and
fatigue. Choose the Contrast lens over a clear lens in every instance for
protection from the harmful effects of exposure to neon lights, computer
screens and other forms of light pollution. Additionally, Bollé Safety’s
unique UV absorbers and flash treatment eliminates overheating of the
cornea, a source of conjunctivitis. And our Contrast lens may assist in
reversing the ageing process of the crystalline lens, a source of cataracts.
Filters 99.99% UVA, UVB up to 400 nm and 30% blue and infrared light.
HD Lens: A unique lens treatment resulting in exceptional clarity and
superior light transmission. The HD coating may be used for every
type of job except those requiring solar protection for industrial use.

Twilight Lens: Built on the successful platform of Bollé Safety’s ESP
coating system. Twilight technology offers the added benefit of antifog coating on both sides of the lens to prevent fogging in the most
challenging conditions. The high contrast, high definition and excellent
light transmission is ideal for low light, outdoor work environments,
particularly early morning and late evening. Twilight filters 76% of blue
light.

GLASSES
Wavelengths and UV Light – Consequences on the Eye
We receive wavelengths through two organs; we see light through our eyes and we capture sound
through our ears. From radio waves to gamma rays, wavelengths gradually constrict, causing their
frequency to increase and making them consume more and more energy. Hence, waves gradually
increase in intensity and therefore are more dangerous for the eyes.
The sun emits three types of light waves and without the correct eye protection each, in its own way,
can seriously affect the eye.
• Ultraviolet Light Rays: 5% of the sun’s energy reaches the earth in this form. UV rays (invisible “tanning” rays) can cause serious damage to the unprotected eye including the development
of cataracts and corneal blistering.
• Infrared Light Rays: 50% of the sun’s energy reaches the earth as heat or infrared. Some IR rays
will be absorbed by the cornea creating a drying effect – an issue of importance to contact
lens wearers.
•
Visible Light Rays: 45% of the sun’s energy reaches the earth in what the eye perceives as color.
Blue Light waves are the most difficult to see. When the unprotected eye strains to focus on it,
all other colors can be distorted. After two to three hours in bright sunlight, eyes can have trouble adjusting to night vision.
The human eye is not able to identify the various elements of a ray – it only sees the results, which are
a function of the different wavelengths and their respective light intensity. The human eye can only
see wavelengths within the “visible spectrum” which is between 380 and 780 nanometers.

Bollé Safety warrants only that Bollé Safety products will be free from defects
in materials and workmanship at the time of sale. Upon receipt of each
shipment, the customer must examine the products for defect or shortage
and notify his distributor in writing within thirty (30) days after such receipt of
any claims reasonably discernible within such thirty (30) day period. All claims
not reasonably discernible within thirty (30) days must be made in writing
within one (1) year after receipt of shipment. Any claim not timely made shall
be waived. This limited warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties,
express, implied or statutory. Bollé Safety entire obligation and the exclusive
remedy to any party for breach of this limited warranty shall be limited to
replacement of the defective product. Bollé safety limited warranty shall not
apply to Bollé Safety products that have been subject to misuse, accident,
negligence, handling, storage, or use.
