Fr. Brian was raised in Cheyenne, he is the second of
four children. He was ordained a priest in 2014, and has
been serving in Sheridan, Wyoming for the last two years.
He loves hiking and camping, so he's very excited to be
over here in western Wyoming. You may remember him
from his time as a seminarian in our parish in July of
2010. Along with all the "normal" stuff he's been doing
since he's been a priest, he's really enjoyed getting to
work with youth and young adults and he's excited to
continue that work in Teton and Lincoln counties. Thank
you for welcoming him to Holy Family!
Holy Doors
Wondering what to do and where to take your summer
visitors for a wonderful day trip? How about a trip to the
Chapel of the Sacred Heart on the shores of Jackson
Lake, and pass through the Holy Doors at the Chapel.
What is a Holy Door? Quote from Deacon Dr. Doug "A Holy Door, or porta sancta, has been used by
Christians since the 15th century as a ritual expression of
conversion. Pilgrims and penitents pass through it as a
gesture of leaving the past behind and crossing the
threshold from sin to grace, from slavery to freedom, and
from darkness to light. Often, these rituals are associated
with prayer, pilgrimage, sacrifice, confession, and
indulgences."
Happy Independence Day!
The first part of our ND Vision trip included
these fun activities in Chicago.
