Propad is the only pad on the market with an independent frog support
to help promote healthy blood flow and frog contact to the ground.
The Razerhorse concept was designed to mimic the natural function of the hoof
while offering the protection needed for today’s performance horses.
The Propad is made of dual density polyurethane and has a soft concussion
absorbing material impregnated in the pad to offer different levels of support
for the equine athlete. The Propad is the only pad on the market with an
independent frog support to help promote healthy blood flow and frog contact
to the ground. It can be used with ANY open heeled shoe.
Traditional shoes elevate the frog off the ground, putting all the weight bearing
on the wall. The bony column receives no support which stresses the laminae
and the wall. Propad fills the void between the frog and ground.
The frog supports flexing and follows all the movements of the frog. They can
be used with ANY open heeled shoe and can also be cut to make an open pad
for different environment needs. We have produced a special video and have
technical advisors on-staff to assist farriers with any questions. Feel free to

The Razer concept was developed
by Erik Lundquist, Razer Sweden.
In 2000, one of Erik’s horses suffered a knee
injury along with many other hoof ailments.
This injury intrigued Erik and sparked his
interest to solve these common problems.
Studies and research began and carried out
in cooperation with Uppsala University
“Hippologum” National institute for equine
research in Sweden and in collaboration
with the Veterinary Associate Professor Lars
Roepstorff & Master Michael Berg (farrier).
The U.S. design, for the current product
line, was developed, tested and put into
production. Since it’s introduction in 2012,
over 20,000 Razer shoes & Propads have
been put on horses.
