HISTORY
MARKET
Al Rostamani Travel & Holidays (ART), a member of
the reputed Al Rostamani Group, was established
in 1979 and for the past 35 years has always been
synonymous with the Leisure Industry, through its
28 (1979- 2007) year association with the world
renowned brand of THOMAS COOK. Besides this
strong association, Al Rostamani Travel also has
the privilege of being preferred partners of world
renowned holiday products such as Rail Europe
and Swiss Travel Systems. General Sales Agents for
Thomas Cook India, Globus Family of Brands and
the Franchisee of Sri Lankan Holidays. In 2012 it
added Abercrombie and Kent – Southern Africa
region and The Adventure Company to its product
portfolio.
ART has three distinct business divisions:
Corporate, Leisure and Inbound divisions with
six offices across the UAE. In 2007 it became a
member of the Global Specialists Markets (GSM)
network providing a link to Travel Management
Companies worldwide.
ART is also a fully accredited member of the following
International Industry Associations:
International Air Transport Association (IATA)
American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA)
Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE).
Dubai Travel and Tour Agents Group (DTTAG).
Abu Dhabi Travel and Tourism Agents Council
(ATTAC).
Future plans include:
Expansion into the GCC (through full-fledged
offices or acquisitions) to increase footprint and
network coverage.

ART has been the recipient of numerous awards
for its excellent performance, from various airlines,
including Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, Virgin Atlantic

1979 - Signed General Sales Agent agreement with
Globus family of brands.
1998 - Signed representation agreement with Rail
Europe.
2001 - Signed General Sales Agent agreement with
Thomas Cook NRI.
2002 - Signed representation agreement with
Disney Land Paris.
2007 - Appointed UAE representative of Global
Specialist Markets (GSM) network, an association
of high quality and independent Travel Management
Companies from around the world.
2009 - Signed Franchise agreement with Sri Lankan
Holidays.
2011 - Added Abercrombie and Kent – Southern
Africa region and The Adventure Company to the
Al Rostamani Travel and Holidays opened its first
office on 24th November 1979 in Al Nasser Square,
Deira, together with Thomas Cook, and was named
Thomas Cook Al Rostamani Travel & Holidays. The
initial team comprised of seven members dealing
in holiday products such as Eurorail, Britrail and
Cosmos. After four years, two more branches were
opened in Jumeirah and Abu Dhabi respectively.
ART obtained its IATA certification in 1980 and was
amongst the first agencies to deal in European and
Cruise holidays.

Visa assistance, Car Rental Services and Corporate
Events.
RECENT DEVELOPMENTS
Al Rostamani Travel & Holidays opened two new
offices, on Sheikh Zayed Road. The corporate
division has been relocated to the Maze Tower
(Corporate Head Office of the Al Rostamani
Group) and the leisure and inbound divisions to the
Al Wasl Centre.
