Lyle Asbill has been the Preaching Minister for the Grapevine
Church of Christ for the last thirteen years. He previously preached in Des
Moines, Iowa, for three years. Prior to full-time ministry, Lyle worked in
commercial real estate in Oklahoma City for ten years. He served as a deacon and
as part of a religious theatre group. He is very involved in Adult Education and
Foreign Missions and has made several trips to Ukraine, Russia, and Nicaragua.
Lyle was born at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama, where his
father was stationed. He has also lived in Alaska, Tennessee, Mississippi, and
Alberta, Canada, his mother’s home. Lyle left Edmonton to attend Oklahoma
Christian College. He graduated in 1982 with degrees in Bible and Social Work. Lyle
and Carrie have been married for twenty-three years and have two children:
Christian, 20, a junior at Oklahoma Christian; and Baylee, 17, a junior at Grapevine
High School.

MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST - Friday, July 20, at 6:00 AM in the Family Center
49er’s FELLOWSHIP - Friday, July 20, at 6:30 PM in the Family Center - Hosts this month are
Patsy Williamson, Dot Poole, Betty Sweger and Leon McIlroy. Food will be pot luck. This
would be an excellent opportunity to invite friends from outside Saturn Road.
LETTERS OF ENCOURAGEMENT - Tameko Brigham graduated from Air Force basic training (boot camp) on June 28. She is now going to tech school at a different base in San Antonio until around the end of October. She sincerely appreciates the notes of encouragement
she has received from her Saturn Road family. If you would like to send a note to her, you can

Congratulations to Paul and Cindy Savage on the birth of their grandson, Levi Paul
Savage, who was born on July 5 to Chad and Amanda Savage. He weighed 10 lbs. 8 oz.
and was 20 1/4” long. Proud relatives include aunt, Jana Savage; and uncle and aunt,
Richard and Robin Ingram.
SYMPATHY IS EXTENDED TO:
The friends and family of Fannie Graham, who passed away on July 6. Memorial services
were July 12.
Joyce and Greg Justice and Jeff and Sara Justice and their family on the loss of Joyce’s and
Jeff’s cousin, Danyell Furrh, who was killed on July 2 when she was struck by a cement truck
while crossing the street.
Paul and Penny Lowry and their family on the death of Paul’s father, Charles Lowry, who
passed away on July 11. Funeral services were July 13.
Carol Wilkerson and her family on the death of her brother-in-law, Charles Mathieson, who
passed away on July 6. Funeral services were July 9.
