Phillip Fourie
Phillip was born in South-West Africa in 1978 and grew up in
a hunting family and started hunting at the age of 8. In 1999
Phillip qualified as a professional hunter and started guiding
clients in countries that include South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe
and Cameroon. Phillip guided one of the first Black Rhino hunts
in modern day times in Namibia and became one of Southern
Africa’s most experienced professional hunters.
He is currently one of a few professional hunters that is licensed
to hunt dangerous game in Namibia as well as South Africa.
WH Knox
WH, a true South African, grew up hunting. From the age of 15 he
accompanied local hunters. His passion for nature and his love for
hunting compelled him to obtain his Professional Hunting license
when he was only 20 years old. When he turned 21, he launched his
professional career hunting with foreign clients.
GSS welcomed WH to our team in November 2014. We look forward to
the energy, passion and experience he will bring to every hunt with our
clients and new friends in future.

Dear friends,
2014 has come and gone, and with this great season
great friendships were forged. I would like to thank
each and every guest that we had the honour to hunt
with or have in our camp this past season, and who
made this year a great success.

A special mention can be made of the following
clients who took some of the best animals of the
season: Two Buffalo over 42” were taken by Pete
Lescoe. Norm MacRitchie and Charles Moore each
took exceptional Leopard whilst Rob Burris took one
of the most spectacular Livingstone Eland I have ever
hunted. Bob Janes ended the season with a trophy
Elephant hunted in the Timbavati to complete his
Big 5.
I look forward to seeing everyone while I am in the
US. I hope to build more friendships and help create
even more special memories for our valued clients, as
friends.

countries we hunt
Niassa
Reserve
South Africa
South Africa is without a doubt the country that offers the best plains game, dangerous game and
wing shooting in Southern Africa today. South Africa is also a premier destination for families due to
the exceptional photographic and sight-seeing opportunities. GSS has acquired the hunting rights on
4 different areas that allows us to provide each client the opportunity to hunt all the plains game and
dangerous game this magnificent country has to offer.
Mozambique
Northern Mozambique is probably the region with the highest Leopard and Sable population I
have ever seen. We hunt 988 000 acres in pristine wilderness in the Niassa province – Northern
Mozambique. The area is situated north of Marrupa and south of Block C Niassa Reserve, flanked on
the left by the Ruambeze and on the west by Lureco rivers. The hunting season starts in June and ends
in November – personally I prefer the months toward the end of the season. (September / October /
November).
NamibIa
Even though Namibia is almost as big as the state of Texas, it is the second least-populated country
in the world. With its semi-desert climate and vast open spaces, Namibia allows us to offer our clients
the freedom of space and an opportunity to enjoy the quality of the huge free-range areas and large
privately-owned land. Along with the desert scenery, Namibia is also known for its plains game as well
as its exceptional Leopard hunting.
Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe is known for big game hunting and so is the well known Matetsi Safari area. Since Matetsi
Unit 5 has been taken over by National Parks it allows GSS to buy the quota direct from Matetsi Nature
Conservation that allows us to provide our clients a true African safari at affordable prices. Unit 5 is
known for Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, Lion and some plains game species.

SOUTH AFRICA
Limpopo
Totalling in excess of 84 000 acres in the majestic Limpopo Province of South
Africa that hosts 23 different species including Cape Buffalo, Leopard, Roan and
Sable. The Limpopo area is known for Mopane bushveld, huge Baobab trees
and rocky outcrops that adds to excellent hunting and to the uniqueness
of this area. We have also decided to put 27 000 acres aside strictly
for bow hunting.
Mauricedale Private Game Reserve
Located in the Mpumalanga province. 25 000 acres on the boundary of Kruger
National Park. One of the most picturesque areas in South Africa with Buffalo,
White and Black Rhino roaming freely and an abundance of plains game
adds to the magnificent beauty of this area.
Whitehead Reserve
35 000 acres of unspoilt Acacia bushveld on the outskirts of the Kalahari desert.
This area offers some of the best Lion hunting in Southern Africa today. Huge maned
Lion gets taken here year after year. The area also hosts an abundance of plains game
species to hunt and is renowned for huge Gemsbok, Red Hartebeest and Springbok.
Klaserie, Timbavati and Umbabat private nature reserves*
Graham Sales Safaris offers exceptional hunting in the Timbavati, Klaserie and Umbabat Nature Reserves. These are
pristine unfenced areas allowing natural migration of thousands of Buffalo over 450 000 acres. These areas produce
exceptional trophy quality each year. Natural migration patterns and limited quota allocations make these Reserves the
most immaculate Buffalo hunting blocks in Africa today.* Please contact Graham Sales Safaris for a detailed quotation on
hunting in these areas, since permits are allocated through a tender/bid system.

HUNTING CONDITIONS
Trophy hunting is available year
round in South Africa, although our
summer months (Nov. through Feb.)
tend to be very hot and is also our
rainy season. The best period is from
March through end October. Due
to the vastness of all the areas, the
locating of game is done by travelling in a Land Cruiser hunting vehicle
from where all hunting is done on
foot.

TESTIMONIALS
Graham,
Hope all is well with you, Kat and I are doing well, still talking about our Safari, what a great trip, was
everything we expected and more. A real hunt for mature trophy animals, all five star service. - Al & Kat Bisbey
Thanks Phillip and Stanley.
Look forward to hunting with you guys soon Cameron and Heath had the time of their lives. Just a note to self if
all outfitters conducted themselves in the manner for which both of you gentlemen did during our 13 day stay
the business would be much better off. I was very impressed with your professionalism, and attention to detail.
Its hard to find anyone who cares about what they do for a living such as yourselves and I really do appreciate
all the hard work and effort put into the whole trip from start to finish. The trophies were a bonus on top of
everything else. - Charlie,Cameron and Heath
Thanks again for everything. Phillip and Wimpie are two real class acts and and made the trip spectacular for
me, Ed and Bart. - Darren
Guys, thanks for making the trip so great. Never gonna forget it. - DL (Darren LaSorte)
