iPad Reminder
Please remember not to
play games during class!
Most teachers have a sign
that says "iPads are a go" on
the front and "iPads are a
no" on the back. If the sign
says "iPads are a go" kids
immediately come in and
start playing games and that
is not what the sign means.
Teachers may have
directions on the board or
they may be waiting for you
for minutes to stop playing
games. The sign means you
are welcome to use your
iPads during class. The rule
is the same, iPads face
down and listen up! Here is
a hint to help you prevent
over obsessing with iPads;
just delete your games!
What time do you have to
play games anyway? Games
on the bus or car could be
bad for your eyes. During
class.... Eh, just think about
your grades! iPads were not
given to us to play games
remember! Just remember
to be respectful with your
iPads.
Donations
Have you guys seen the display in
front of the library for Help out the
Army! It is extremely important to
honor the army, they give up so much
to protect our
country. Here take
a look at the
display......
We are safe and happy
because some very
honorable people risk their
lives to keep us and our
country safe! The small
things that we bring in will
be used to fill stocking for
injured veterans.If you
bring something in then
you are helping somebody
who helped you in a
different way.
This is what you could
bring in ..........

Locker
Limbo
Is your locker
continuously becoming
jammed beyond compare?
Do you feel as if you are
annoying the teachers in the
midst of you to ring up the
key? Don't worry, your
support is here! There are
most likely numerous
complications as to why up
your locker is cramming,
such as:
• Puffy jackets and coats
• Big Backpacks
• Lunch boxes
Here is a solitary conception
that will clear all of these
hectic cryptically of pain.
Before you rush off to lunch,
ensure that you DO NOT
stuff in you jacket so tight!
Make sure it is all the way in.
This tritium of unpolitical
advocates will cause the
jacket to uncompress in your
locker while you are eating
the day away in the
cafeteria. Remember, you
always have that top locker
compartment of you have
too big of a jacket! So, if you
follow this tip out of the
many others, the locker
substance of sixth grade will
be a breeze that wets your
hair with salt water on the
harbor of a sunset beach.

World Facts Article
Not so fun facts about food waste; news about what is happening
world-wide:
• Almost 1/3 of food we buy; 1.3 billion tons, gets
wasted.
• Food loss is also wasting many precious resources such
as water and land, needless labour to working humans,
and it also produces green-house gasses for nothing,
contributing to global warming without a purpose.
• USA is the top country for food-waste.
• In the USA, organic waste, (food), is the second
highest component of landfills.
How will your voice be heard in this problem? This is my
voice:
We have to help to prevent food-waste, starting in our
Cafeteria; do not take more food than you need. If you are
still hungry, take more later. For packers, any food you do not
eat, save and take home.
Contribute to keeping our Earth healthy!

they have funny dreams that take then places like the Mayflower.
Sometimes they have fights, but they always stay friends.

Marsh Creek Sixth
Grade Center
Marsh Creek Sixth Grade
Center is a 21st century school
in the DASD District. All the
kids here have gotten their
iPad Airs. This school opened
on August 25th and it has been
a blast here. It has been a
little crazy but, it sure has
improved. The staff, teachers,
principals, and students have
been working to make this
school fun and educational for
the kids here. Helpful tip:
make sure you say "please"and
"thank you" to everybody. Can
you believe 10 elementary
school in this district came to
this one school? This an
immense experience for all
the kids here meeting
different people. There is a lot
of people in this school so it is
very important that
everybody gets respect. Treat
others the way you wanted to
be treated. Don't you think?

Wise Owl's Advice Column
Dear WiseOwl,
I am being bullied. This has been going on for FOUR YEARS!!! Every time I
tell someone, the bully makes it worse. Please help me but don't embarrass me.
From,
Tico-taco ya ya ya
Dear Tico-taco ya ya ya,
Yikes! Bullying is no small deal! You need to tell the guidance counselor,
and make sure you tell them the details and who the bully is. Do not stop telling
people, because it will only stop if you show courage and tell on that big bad
bully! Make sure you tell them that it gets worse each time you tell, so they can
keep you anonymous.
Make sure it stops!

Dear WiseOwl,
My binder is overflowing! With all the papers I get from class, I feel like my
binder is going to explode! I like to be extremely organized, and frankly, I feel like
my binder isn't cutting it. Any advice?
-Overflowing Papers
Dear Overflowing Papers,
I have 3 options:
A: get a new, bigger binder
B: remove all the papers you don't need daily
C: get a new binder and keep the old one, and put half of class's papers in one,
and half in the other
Sincerely,
WiseOwl
That's all for now! Please write to me if you need advice!

A Your Interest Issue
Future Is Now
You guessed it, a hoverboard! Marty McFly decided to bring some souvenirs back from his trip in
Back To The Future, part 2!
From a
floating
scooter
<-to a
hover
board!
MCFLY ON HIS USED-TO-BE-A-SCOOTER HOVERBOARD: (HE BORROWED IT FROM A KID)
Arx Pax is hoping to crowdfund the Hendo Hoverboard. Though it is not the floating skateboard from Back To
The Future, it is still ridable: A self-powered, floating platform, (an inch from the ground), and capable of holding
a fully grown adult! Arx Pax says that this hoverboard can hold up to 300 lbs, and future hoverboards will be
able to hold up to 500! The only downfall; you have to be over a specific surface for it to float at all. It uses the
same electromagnetic field as MagLev trains, meaning it will only levitate over metals that do not have any iron,
or only a very small amount. So that means only metals such as aluminum or copper. The Hendo Hoverboard
was a challenge; in the beginning it only floated around aimlessly. This hoverboard is very complex, so for now,
it costs $10,000, but keep your fingers crossed, one day it might be yours!
