Renovation and redesign of reception area, waiting and consultation rooms for day spa in Tuscany, Italy.


THE PROGRAM

Client Profile

Client wishes to redesign the space to promote expansion of the business.

Services included:

-thermal pools

-grotto steam bath

-mud therapy treatments

-manicures and pedicures

-massage therapy


Client Preferences

Concentration of clientele from upper-middle class.








Space Requirements
The building consists of a main reception area (200 sq. ft), housing a product display. There are three private waiting rooms
(200 sq. ft each) and consultation rooms (100 sq. ft each).
Site Description
Located in Tuscany, Italy, the day spa rests on the countryside, surrounded by lush vegetation, hills, and some villas.
Redesigning of the space leaves room for present and future expansion.

The Concept


Appearances Matter!!
. In Italy you will find yourself judged by the way
you carry yourself just as much as the clothes you
dawn. Bella Figura or “good image” is the coined
phrase used to represent this concept “bella figura is
more than dressing well. It extends to the aura…
confidence, style, demeanor, etc”. A spa, with this
motto in mind, functions under the belief and
principle that purifying and beautifying the outside
of the body draws out the „bella figura‟ and beauty
from within.
