THE MAP
LA MOLINA – MASELLA
Edited during 2009-2012 and expanded in 2016
Scale 1:25,000 Super DIN A3 for the 6h and 12h courses
DIN A4 for 3h course
Equidistance between contour lines: 10 metres.
The map has good level of detail but no indication of vegetation penetrability. However
we have marked some areas that are impossible to run through.
No legend will be printed on map, or control descriptions due to lack of space.
Control descriptions will be printed apart and can be downloaded from the website a few
days prior to the event.
Pay attention to the prohibited areas, both private estates as well as roads with
traffic. Also dangerous areas marked as prohibited around the railway tracks.
COURSES and TERRAIN
3h course will have 29 controls. 6h and 12h courses will have 55 controls.
High mountain area with lots of ascending and descending. Very good penetrability in
general. Good route management is recommended to minimize total gain.
There are many fences drawn on the map but none of them are for cattle enclosure.
Therefore please close them after you at all times so that livestock cannot escape from
their designated areas.
