Changing Texture - Adding more
liquid by 1-2 tsp will make a more
brownie-like texture. Reducing liquid
by 1-2 tsp and/or cooking slightly
longer will make a more fluffy & dryer
cake-like texture. You can take it as far
as going as dry as a macaroon texture.
Substituting Liquids - You can easily
substitute healthy liquids for the water
in any recipe. Healthy milks, juices,
yogurt, teas, coffee and oils all work
great and will not only change the
flavors and textures, it will add infinite
variety to your Dr. Bob’s Mix Foods.
Also, when adding cold liquids you
may need a slightly longer cook time.

Mug Cakes - Basic Recipe
Once you have made the basic recipe, you will see how quick and
easy it is to create an infinite variety of flavors, textures and nutritional
profiles to meet any health and taste objective. Start your day with a
fresh warm SteamBaked Mug Cake in hand that is made your way!
Basic Recipe Ingredients
• 1/4 cup Dr. Bob’s Mix of Choice
• 1/4 cup water *see Tips and Suggestions on page 3 for Changing Texture
• See Tips & Suggestions for adding additional ingredients
• Optional 1/4 tsp G*Sweet or 1 1/2 tsp of sweetener of choice
Directions
• Add ingredients together in a standard 6-8oz glass coffee mug
• Mix thoroughly, removing all lumps resulting in a smooth mixture
• SteamBake for 2 minutes, or at your personal dialed-in cook time *see Tips and Suggestions on page 3 for Changing Texture
• Use toothpick method to check for center for doneness
➡ If center is under-cooked, SteamBake for an another 30 sec.
• Serve and enjoy!
Caution: Some mugs may be very hot and may need a moment to cool down
before removing from the microwave oven.

Adding Ingredients - Adding ingredients is simple; just add up
to 2 tbsp of your favorite super fruit, nuts, seeds, herbs, granola,
etc. Try to choose naturally sweet ingredients and skip adding
additional sweetener!
Adding Even More Protein - If your diet requires even more
protein, simply add your favorite protein such as: protein powder,
nuts, seeds, eggs, and/or even substitute a high protein drink for
the liquid in the basic recipe.
Adding More Fiber - Same concept as adding more fiber.
Consider adding ground flaxseed, prunes, psychillium, chia
seeds, coconut flakes, etc for a higher fiber Mug Cake.
