And so another year begins. Here we are at the start of 2011
and the book for this year is nothing but a blank series of pages.
The advent of a new year can awaken in us a zest for life, a
feeling of hope in the unknown future, memories of good times
in the past but an anticipation of what lies ahead. And that is
what I love most about starting another year - I am totally free
to make of it what I will. Regardless of what happened last
year, or the year before, or the last 10 years, I have the opportunity to make of this year whatever I set my mind and heart to.
I think the single factor that drives all of us, no matter our
circumstances, is hope. Many great people have spoken on the
topic of hope. Let me quote just a few:

moments. The next time you are experiencing one of those bad
times or unhappy moments that leave you feeling like you are
ready to quit, bend but don’t break. Try your best not to let the
situation get the best of you.

You need to hold on to a small measure of hope that, with
enough hard work and perseverance, you can make it through
no matter what difficulty life throws at you. With hope for a
better tomorrow or a better situation, things may not be as bad
as they seem to be. Remember that whatever difficulty you face,
it will be easier to deal with if the end result is worth having.
This is so true in our businesses. All of us face challenges,
setbacks, and disappointments. But what can truly set us apart
and help us create true greatness in ourselves and others is the
ability to continue to hope for something better. We have to
believe that our goals are achievable and that achieving them
will make a real difference in both our lives and the lives of all
the people we affect in our business – our families, our downlines, and our fellow Distributors.
Let’s begin this year full of hope. I know I will. I am confident
that 2011 will be the greatest year ever in Forever. Why do I
believe this? Because I travel the world meeting thousands of
you, and I know that you are the greatest group of Distributors
ever. You are completely committed and determined to making
a difference in your lives, as well as in the lives of so many
others. So let’s fill the blank pages of 2011 with great experiences and successes that we will remember for many years
to come.

Prevent Winter Colds and Flu with Moderate Exercise!
It’s that time of year again. You might be
hearing a hacking cough outside your office
or a sniffle and sneeze coming from your own
living room. Sometimes it feels like catching

shows that moderate exercise can help ward

David C. Nieman, former president of
the International Society of Exercise and
Immunology, conducted a study on the
effects of exercise on the immune system. He
found that cells from the lungs, spleen, and
bone marrow experienced a surge in circulation in subjects who completed moderate
exercise. That means that when you’re
moving, your immune cells are moving too.
The study also showed that this circulation
had a cumulative effect, keeping active people
more healthy year-round. Neiman’s research
tells us that moderate aerobic exercise such as
brisk walking, cycling, or jogging done in 30
minute sessions 5 days a week can help fight
off viruses and bacteria by boosting the body’s

Prior to having his own MLM business, Dietmar was a confectioner, had his
own café and at the same time, worked as a sales representative for a private
radio station. That meant working a lot of hours, usually from 9 am to 1 am.
Meanwhile, Christel owned two dance schools and danced competitively for
many years at the elite world level - in 1980, she was the World Cup winner.
Dietmar and Christel joined FLP in March 2001. In June they had become
Managers, and by October they were Senior Managers. A year and a half later,
they reached the Soaring Manager level. This year, they were recognized in
London at the European Rally as new Diamond Managers!
The Reichle’s team work is unique: Dietmar is responsible for all questions
regarding the Marketing Plan and business building. He works on new
contacts and sponsors new partners. It is at this point when Christel takes
over. She looks after the new Distributors and educates them on product
knowledge. As a certified cosmetician, she is especially familiar with the
beauty products.
At the very beginning with FOREVER, Dietmar created a strong team with
his downline. By regularly providing them with newsletters, trainings, special
promotions and incentives, he has created team unity and they are up-to-date
with everything they need to know. Today, Dietmar and Christel have their
own training room in their home that can accommodate approximately 70
people.
“You need to keep yourself motivated and must be willing to keep learning. You
always need to have a vision and a goal,” say the Reichles. They attend regular
education seminars and every Success Day. This way, they continue to learn
and refuel their motivation. Likewise, their Porsche needs refueling when it’s
empty!

The Sonya® Colour Collection and Forever Living Products
are pleased to announce The Miss Sonya North America
2011 competition to be held at the North American Rally
on February 18 & 19, 2011 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas,
Nevada.
CONTESTANT CRITERIA
- Contestants must be Distributors of FLP, Supervisor and
above, and actively promoting the Sonya business for the
months of November 2010, December 2010, and January
2011.
We encourage each area to hold a local event by hosting a
“Sonya Day of Beauty” where a Distributor will be selected.
This will be a great opportunity to promote the Sonya
Business in your area.
- The representatives of each area must be able to travel to
and from the North American Rally in Las Vegas, Nevada
on February 18 & 19, 2011 and be personally responsible for
expenses, unless a Rally qualifier.
Thank you to all areas that have selected their area winners
and submitted the information requested to the Home Office.
Please note that the deadline to participate in the competition
is January 22, 2011.
- Miss Sonya North America 2011 must be able to travel and
represent North America at the Super Rally in Washington,
D.C. on August 18-20, 2011. The airfare, hotel and Rally wristband will be provided by the company.

The winner and first runner-up will be selected on Saturday
by a panel of judges. The winner* will then compete in the
Miss Sonya World 2011 competition at the Super Rally in
Washington, D.C. August 18-20, 2011. (If the winner is
unable to attend the Miss Sonya World competition, the first
runner-up will take her place.)
• The new Miss Sonya North America 2011 will receive a cash
award, plus trips to the Super Rally in Washington, D.C. and
to the Traditional Post Rally Tour.
• The 1st Runner-up will receive a cash award.

“I’m a Cameroonian living in Washington, D.C. I started Forever Living Products in Cameroon in
2005. I was just a consumer, using the products and giving them to my son. I saw great benefits after

talking about FLP to friends and attending trainings, but I was not really serious in the business.

Are Your Goals “S.M.A.R.T.” Goals?

This is the time to review the progress we made on last year’s
goals, and to set new ones for 2011. Nearly everyone agrees that
goal-setting is important, but not all of us actually do set goals,
and even fewer follow up after they have set them. The purpose
of this training is to motivate us all to determine what it is we
want to accomplish in 2011, and to discuss the S.M.A.R.T. way
to go about it.
Earl Nightingale said, “A man without a goal is like a ship without
a rudder; if it gets out of the harbor at all, it most likely will end up
a wreck on some deserted island.” What more can be said of the
importance of having a clear idea of where we want to go, and
of having a way to navigate our way to arrive there? Goals clarify
where we want to go; but more importantly, they serve as reference points that can be used to compare our current location
with the desired destination, and thus enable us to make course
corrections to ensure that we arrive. Only a foolish person
would embark on a journey without knowing where he wanted
to go, and how he was going to get there. On the other hand, a
S.M.A.R.T. person would set goals that are:
SPECIFIC. Our goals should clearly answer the following
question: what, exactly, do we want to accomplish, and who else
will be involved in its accomplishment? Let’s use Profit Sharing
as an example. That’s a specific goal. Who else will be involved?
Well, we know that we need the help of a downline Manager;
let’s call him Jim Reynolds. So, our goal could be stated, “I
will qualify for Profit Sharing with the help of my downline
Manager, Jim Reynolds.” That’s a good start, but it needs some
further defining, because our goals need to be measurable.
MEASURABLE. Our goals should be defined in such a way
that we can clearly chart our progress toward them and know
when they have actually been achieved. We do this by describing
how much or how many. For example, a goal to achieve Profit
Sharing would be stated in terms of how many case credits are
required: “I will achieve Profit Sharing by generating 700 case
credits, including 150 case credits from new people I sponsor
during the year, and by helping my downline Manager, Jim
Reynolds, to do 600 case credits with his group.” The goal is
looking better, but we need to make sure that it is aligned.

This would be a good time to communicate with Jim to make
sure that his goals and our goals are in alignment, and that we
both believe them to be realistic.
REALISTIC. What may be realistic for one may not be for
another. A good way to determine if a goal is realistic is to ask
ourselves if we really believe that we can achieve it. It doesn’t
matter that others tell us we can do it; what matters is if we
believe, deep down in our heart, that we can. Once we determine how we truly feel, we can place our goal within a definite
time frame.
TIME-BASED. Napoleon Hill observed, “A goal is a dream
with a deadline.” Our goals are time-based when they have
definite start and end dates. “Someday I want to achieve Profit
Sharing” is not a goal, nor does it do much to motivate us to
start on the path to its achievement. So we need to add a timelimiting phrase, such as “In 2011.” This gives us a start date of
January 1, 2011 and an end date of December 31, 2011.
Now we have a S.M.A.R.T. goal: “In 2011, I will achieve
Profit Sharing by generating 700 case credits, including 150
case credits from new people I sponsor during the year, and by
helping my downline Manager, Jim Reynolds, to do 600 case
credits with his group.” It is clearly defined so that we know
exactly what we expect to achieve; stated with terms of measurement so we can track our progress; aligned so that all parties are
on board; realistic so we can enthusiastically and without fear or
hesitation work to achieve it; and time-based so our focus and
energy can be concentrated into 12 months, instead of being
diffused over some mysterious, foggy, future period of time.
Elbert Hubbard said, “Many people fail in life, not for lack of
ability or brains or even courage, but simply because they have never
organized their energies around a goal.” Take the time now to
determine your future!
ALIGNED. Our goals should be aligned with the desires and
philosophy of all those who have a stake in them. For example,
it would be very difficult to achieve a goal of Profit Sharing that

We joined FLP in 2002. In the beginning, we were just
customers of these wonderful products. We had our own business, and we worked very hard, long hours. We sold our business
and moved to Florida in 2005. It was at this time that we started
our business with FLP.
Within four months we became recognized Managers, and in
one year and four months we were Senior Managers. A short
time later, we went on a cruise to Hawaii sponsored by FLP. We
achieved Earned Incentive Level 1, and we became members of
the Business Builders Club as well as the esteemed Conquistador
Club.
We never dreamed of working in a company that could give us so
much in such short time! The most important thing for us is that
we are our own boss, and are completely responsible for our business and our ability to make our dreams a reality. We are happy
because we have seen many places and people in the trips that we
have earned with FOREVER. On our last trip to Arizona, we
saw beautiful Mormon Lake.

Dedication at Lake Amistad National Recreation Area
“To take something this valuable and donate it to someone who
will truly appreciate it is unbelievable,” says Bruce Reilly, Lake
Amistad Marina General Manager, speaking about the latest
addition to the National Park Service fleet.
The 67‐foot‐long Forever Resorts houseboat is being referred to
as Forever Earth, and will be put to use as a floating classroom
laboratory for youngsters to study plant and mineral samples at
the Lake Amistad National Recreation Area near Del Rio, Texas.
“We’ve removed the water slide and the hot tub and are retrofitting the houseboat with more shelving and space to keep
microscopes, other equipment and study samples on board,”
says Reilly. “There are a lot of ideas flying around right now.”
More than 10,000 Del Rio, Texas, fifth graders have experienced
Lessons-on-the-Lake aboard a houseboat, courtesy of Lake Amistad
National Recreation Area, the Big Bend Natural History Association
and Forever Resorts. This week, the Forever Earth houseboat was
donated to the National Park Service by Forever Resorts, operator
at Lake Amistad Marina, to ensure the continuation of this activity
and right of passage for future generations of children from the area.
Previous educational experiments have drawn enthusiastic
crowds where youth get to go on a three‐to‐four‐hour boat
ride while studying plants, minerals, and gems. “Last year
we did three trips a week, beginning in November until we
tapered off in April as we started getting busy at the marina.
Following the commissioning ceremony where title was
given to NPS, they will now be in charge of the vessel and
the educational tours that will take place on the lake’s 65,000
surfaces acres.”
The modified houseboat will be used for the on‐the‐water
Lessons‐on‐the‐Lake program for 5th graders. “While the
program currently covers geology and desert adaptation, we
hope to introduce water quality testing in the near future,”
according NPS Division Chiefs Lisa Evans and Heather
Durand, who report that over 10,000 students aboard more
than 193 trips have already participated in the Lessons‐on‐
the‐Lake program.
According to Julio Ramos, Assistant Superintendent of San
Felipe Del Rio school district: “The partnership has already
yielded fruit as district‐wide science scores have improved by
12 percentage points and we’re seeing an increase in student
interest in the natural sciences.”
