As Members of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of
Commerce, the Club reserved an 8’ x 10’ booth for the
1-day event. The Expo, held at The Coliseum, an historic
events venue located in downtown St. Petersburg, was well
attended by 80 booth exhibitors and over 500 attendees. We
were able to promote the Club and to connect with other
high quality local business
professionals.
At the Expo, the Club unveiled our new 12-page Club
brochure that tells “the SPCC story” from its 90-years
history through our continued traditions of a legendary golf
course, expansive tennis center, including our multiple dining
venues, fitness and swimming facilities. Showcasing our
Ballroom was a highlight at the show and was well received
by all attendees who were delighted to learn that they were
able to host their next special party or event at SPCC!
The booth was staffed by Gail King, Sales & Marketing and
was joined by Jessica Negron our Assistant Golf Professional.
Together, they connected and engaged with business owners,
professionals and decision makers across a variety of
industries and professions. The common interest was the
commitment to improve our businesses with products and
services to accelerate our mutual growth.
As always, thank you all for your continued support of St.
Petersburg Country Club. If you have any questions,
concerns or comments, please stop by my office and let me
know. We are all here to help you in any way we can.
Thank you,
John Wesson

The club has been busy this past month and we are looking forward to
a fun March! The Raymond James Super Senior Tennis Tournament
was a huge hit and as always, bring the club great exposure. Thank
you to Suzy & Jerry Ratledge and Sam Vuille and his team for their
hard work in organizing this event.
The Club’s annual Casino Night is going to March 21st! We will have
your favorite casino games, a DJ, and dinner in the ballroom for this
awesome party you are not going to want to miss. Prizes will be
awarded—chips will be cashed in for raffle tickets to win the prize of
your choice along with a Grand Prize.
This is really hard to believe, but we are already organizing for
Summer! If you have children, please make the club your choice for
their care and fun this year with our swim team and camps. The hours
are fit for any working couple and the kids are safe, learn manners, and
truly enjoy themselves and have a blast!
The club participated in the Chamber of Commerce Business Expo as
well as the Tampa Bay Bridal Expo this past month. Many new
contacts have been made and we look forward to continuing to
promote our memberships and event venue as the premier in the
county.
I wanted to let you all know that due to some computer repairs we are
working on we were not able to run the member birthday and
anniversary lists this month. We will publish the March birthdays and
club anniversaries in the April edition of the Clubber.
As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns and I will do whatever I can to ensure you are enjoying your
membership to the fullest!

LGA FUNDRAISER for MVP
On February 4th, the SPCC Ladies Golf Association organized a golf tournament, luncheon, and silent auction to
raise funds for the MVP Program (mammography voucher program). This program provides free mammograms
for women in Pinellas County that are unable to afford this medical attention that is so critical in detecting breast
cancer.
On behalf of the LGA and the Charity Tournament Committee, led by Karen
Hurst and Jenni Marshall, I would like to say “Thank You” to all of our
members for their support of our event. Especially the $10 boys for their
generosity and all the gals who found raffle items. And to several of our
members for their generous donations. We really appreciate what you did to
help us. And to the ladies who came for lunch and supported us with their
shopping. It was a fun and successful day.
