November 2007
Welcome to the 2008 edition of the International Prayer Directory. In it you will find an
overview of the ministries of Scripture Union in the various nations around the world. It also
provides practical information that enables the international community of Scripture Union to
communicate and pray for each other. In Colossians, the Apostle Paul encouraged the people of
God to pray with these words, “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful”. He
goes on to ask them to pray specifically for he and those who shared in the ministry, “that God
may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ” (Col 4v2-3).

Bienvenidos a la Guía Internacional de Oración para el año 2008. Aquí encontrarán un
panorama de los ministerios de la Unión Bíblica en diversas naciones alrededor del mundo. La
Guía también les ofrece información práctica que permite que la comunidad internacional de la
Unión Bíblica se mantenga en contacto y que oremos los unos por los otros. En la carta a los
Colosenses, el Apóstol Pablo anima al pueblo de Dios que ore, diciéndoles: ‘Manténganse
constantes en la oración, siempre alerta y dando gracias a Dios’. Luego les pide específicamente
que oren por él y los que participan en el ministerio, ‘que el Señor nos abra las puertas para
predicar el mensaje y anunciar el designio secreto de Cristo’ (Col 4 v2-3).
I pray that this directory will be instrumental in enabling us to grow in our fellowship and
knowledge of one another’s ministries. May it also encourage us to pray for one another in the
same way Paul asked of the people of Colosse; and let us pray being watchful and thankful.
Mi oración es que esta Guía contribuya a que crezcamos en la comunión y el conocimiento
mutuo de los ministerios en los que participamos. Que nos anime también a orar el uno por el

Bienvenue à l’édition 2008 de l’annuaire international de prière . Vous y trouverez un aperçu
des ministères de la Ligue du monde entier. Vous y trouverez également des informations
pratiques permettant à la communauté internationale de la Ligue de communiquer ensemble et
de prier les uns pour les autres. Dans Colossiens, l’apôtre Paul encourage le peuple de Dieu à
prier en ces termes : « Persévérez dans la prière, veillez-y avec actions de grâces.» Il poursuit en
leur demandant de prier spécifiquement pour lui et pour tous ceux qui partagent son ministère,
«Que Dieu ouvre une porte à notre parole, afin que je puisse annoncer le mystère du Christ. »
(Col. 4 v.2-3).
Je prie que cet annuaire soit un outil qui nous permette de grandir en communion fraternelle
et dans la connaissance de nos ministères mutuels. Qu’il nous encourage également à prier les
uns pour les autres, de la même manière que Paul l’avait demandé aux Colossiens ; et que nous
priions, en étant vigilants et reconnaissants.
