The Squadron Adop0on Program was created as a forum for the community to interact with Sheppard AFB permanent party. Since it began, the program has grown to over 50 Many thanks to SMAC friends from Frederick, Oklahoma! As you know, adopters to include community during the spring rains in Texoma, the runway at Frederick was damaged and leaders, businesses, & service organiza0ons. During the SMAC April 2015 trip to Washington DC, one of the topics

Sill, OK. During the SMAC delegation’s meeting with Senator Cornyn, two
of his staffers, Dave Hanke and Warren Bruce, took the information

regarding the criticality of the radar to the ENJJPT flying mission for action.
They contacted Oklahoma Senator Inhofe’s staff and expressed the national
security importance of the radar. Senator Inhofe and his staff concurred and
the radar is now a high visibility subject for Senator Inhofe’s office.
