Melissa Moskowitz—Jews for Jesus
Melissa Moskowitz has been a part of Jews for Jesus since 1976. She was born and
raised in the Bronx and came to believe in Jesus while in college. Throughout her
40 years of service with the ministry, she's had the opportunity to use her
giftings in youth and young adult work; in publications; through photography;
and for the past 16 years in young adult ministry. Currently living on the west
side of Los Angeles (to be closer to her grandson), Melissa maintains a monthly
Shabbat fellowship for young adults and other events for the LA young adult
community. A new initiative for the LA branch that Melissa is spearheading is
ArtShareCollective/LA, a visionary community of Jewish believing artists who
desire to use their creativity for the Gospel. Melissa writes “It has been an
interesting time for me since I moved to LA. Our family now has two homes we
can gather in, mine and my daughter Kayla’s. Then there’s baby Cameron! He is a
happy, peaceful baby which has brought me so much delight. Thank God that He
has placed me so close to Him and so close to my family! I praise Him for TBC ~

Acts 18:1-28, Matthew 6:1-15, 1 Corinthians 2:1-5
October 2, 2016
Discussion Questions
1. What can we learn specifically about Paul in Acts 18:1-6?
How about observations concerning Paul’s ministry in
Corinth? (Also 2 Cor. 11:18-33, 2 Cor. 12:5-12)
2. What are the key results of Paul’s ministry recorded in
Acts 18:7-8, 11?
3. What encouragement does God provide to Paul in Acts
18:9-11? Why is this important and timely (Acts 18:1217)?
4. What do we learn about Apollos in Acts 18:24-28? (also
1 Cor. 1:11-15, 1 Cor. 3:4-11, 1 Cor. 4:5-6, 1 Cor. 16:1214)?
5. How are we not to pray according to Matthew 6:1-15?
Likewise, how are we to pray?
6. What does it look like if our faith rests on “lofty speech”
or “plausible words of wisdom”? (1 Cor. 2:1-5)
7. How did Paul describe his proclamation of the testimony
of God to the Corinthians in 1 Cor. 2:1-5? What can we
learn from this and how does it apply today? (also Mark
1:17, 1 Cor. 3:6-11)
