Dolly’s Imagination Library
United Way and the Imagination Library are committed to improving
early learning opportunities for all children, birth to age five, by
sending new, age appropriate books to their home. Help us support
early literacy, school readiness and lifelong learning with your
sponsorship. We currently are sending over 600 books a month
home to local children.

United Way Day of Action
“IT’S OK TO GO OUT AND PLAY”
Partner with United Way for our 2016 Day of Action
Children are naturally drawn to an outdoor play, a form of exercise
that promotes well-being and wholesome physical development. Play
allows children to explore, develop muscle strength and coordination
and gain self-confidence. In fact, children have a need for physical
activity—a chance to run, swing, jump, skate, ride a bike and just enjoy fresh air and sunshine. The positive opportunities and benefits of
outdoor play are many. Advocating for a healthy, active lifestyle is
critical to a child’s success.
The 2016 United Way Day of Action will include coordinating Outdoor
Activities for children as we advocate, It’s Okay to go out and Play.
Activities will include bicycle helmet giveaway, bicycle giveaway, how
to play marbles, exercise ball activities, chalk art, bubbles, hula hoop
contests, a visit from the Columbus Zoo and more.
Target Audience: Children ages 3-12
Target Attendance: 250 young families










