Dear Parishioners and Visitors,
This weekend we join in prayer with an estimated half million young people from around the world who will
gather in Krakow, Poland for the Thirteenth International World Youth Day. Pope Francis will be in attendance and will
address the young faithful of the world, among whom is a contingent from the Diocese of Syracuse, including our own
Bishop Cunningham.
The theme of World Youth Day 2016 is “Blessed are the Merciful. They will receive Mercy.”
We pray for the safety of all those traveling to and from Poland and for all our young people.
Also, if you are interested in meeting the “young” priests and seminarians of the Diocese of Syracuse (I put
“young” in quotations since I am including myself in that) I invite you to our annual Men In Black Softball Game on Sunday, August 7th at 6pm at Meachem Field, (121 Seneca Tpk, Syracuse.) This annual vocation promotion event is always a
lot of fun and a great way to not only spotlight our seminarians and priesthood but a great way to spend a summer afternoon. Limited transportation available on the Parish Van, driven by Youth Minister Becky Kruczkowski for Middle
School and High School students and families.
Fr. Michael!
