the sparkling Lake Namakagon and scenic Chequamegon
National Forest, Lakewoods
offers all the onsite amenities
of a full-service resort. Which
includes outdoor and indoor
swimming pools, a spacious
hot tub, sauna & more. Lakewoods also offers an 18-hole
golf course, tennis and volleyball courts. They feature
a private sandy beach and
full-service marina. Your accommodations include shared
condos with your own private
bedroom or a hotel room in
the lodge. Remember to bring
your own fishing boat, ATV, golf
clubs and gear. With advance
notice, rentals may be available
at participants expense.
Located in Chequamegon National Forest Lake Namakagon
produces all manner of game
fish;
Walleye,
Largemouth
Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, Perch,
Panfish, Northern, and Trophy
Muskie. The surrounding area
has numerous great fisheries
offering a variety of locales so
the fish should always be biting.
The forest is also home to many
streams and rivers offering fantastic trout fishing and even fly
fishing for the mighty Musky. If
ATVing is your thing, you will be
right in the thick of some great
trails to ride through the wilderness where you can see some
incredible scenery and hopefully a little wildlife. One round
of golf with cart is included per
day at Forest Ridges where 18
holes will give you a true Northwood’s golf experience.
We’ll keep you fed so you can
keep up with the outdoor adventures! Your trip includes a
hearty, daily breakfast buffet,
tasty lunches for all served on
the resort’s sandy beach and
bountiful dinner buffets in the
evening. After fishing, golfing or
ATVing you’ll be able to socialize with the rest of the group in
Bucks Bar and Grill where you
can enjoy complimentary soft
drinks and beer until our barrel
is empty. You can also catch
your favorite sporting events or
shows on the big screen. Karaoke and other fun events are
on-deck in Buck’s Bar as well.
