Pittsburgh wins the National Championship for the second year in a row!
Congratulations to “Extreme Dump Truck On Fire” for keeping it in the ‘Burgh. Also
this is our first out of state national win! Granted, Pittsburgh players have won many
games in every store across the country, but we’ve always just fallen short of a
National win. Sometimes only by 2 points. This year’s final game was won by only 7
points against former National Champs, “Oblivion”. Way to go Red Dog, Zalgax,
Dancer, Kirby, and Llama!
Back to school, back to Storm! If it was too hot this summer for laser tag, there’s
no excuse anymore! Leagues is entering into the second series. The regional
season is already underway. September’s tournament is already over, so don’t miss
your chance to play October’s tournament!! Ask for more details.
We are offering a FREE LASER TAG GAME to anyone who gets a friend to sign
up to be a member of Laser Storm Pittsburgh. Our membership system has been in
place for 13 years now. Nowhere else in the country will you find as much
competitive play as you will here.

The resurrection of Ohio’s arena was welcome news to the laser tag community.
Good thing the owner kept everything they had! The players, led by George Raptis,
constructed a load bearing wall, a grid, and an amazing observation deck all inside an
enormous storage barn on the property of Skyway Drive-In theater.
This year’s national tournament was held in the very same arena. Pittsburgh sent 3
teams and Ohio had 2. The first day was spent configuring the arena, and the next two
were spent playing the preliminary seeding rounds. The final double elimination bracket
was played on August 15th, 2010.

It was quite a battle back and forth up until the playoffs, where “Power Rangers” just
took off and ran with it! An impressive effort on the part of all the participants! Thanks for
playing everyone!

For the first time in 15 years Pittsburgh has won back to back national tournaments
AND won out of state as well! Congratulations to 2 time champions Extreme Dump
Truck On Fire! (formerly Dump Shuttle). Second place was “Act Right” from Ohio, and
in third place was“Vendetta” also from Pittsbugh.

Several new teams turned out on 9/25 for the first tournament of the 2010-2011
season! One team came from Altoona, PA. What an awesome beginning to an all-new
series of tournaments! Special thanks to teams “Snake Eyes” and “Bellview” for taking
the challenge and playing their first tournaments ever!
