one hundred plus years of our unique American historical musical heritage.
PA Jazz will showcase Lehigh valley Regional Jazz artists of distinction.
We will promote Jazz Awareness as an American art form. We will continue to develop and implement jazz education initiatives and programs
for all ages, musician and non-musician.
Through education in the arts, particularly jazz, the PA Jazz Collective
seeks to instill essential and life enhancing skills. Some of these are discipline, creativity, essential problem solving skills, working well with others
in a cooperative atmosphere, confidence and intellectual development.
Some of the main topics of educational focus include: fostering openmindedness, stimulation of creative thought, enhancing problem solving
skills, instilling confidence to enhance all future interaction and promoting discipline and team work.
The PA Jazz Collective focuses on the musical communication that is at the
core of jazz, which is an expression of individuality and the spontaneous
artistic language spoken within the context of a democratic framework.
We are cognizant that jazz performers and students draw upon multiple
educational and social disciplines to simultaneously interact in a manner
that uniquely ties together many educational disciplines and learning
domains. PA Jazz strives to make jazz accessible to everyone.
