Fun is number one in our safe, secure clubhouse and
recreation facilities.
Children develop athletic, artistic and social skills
through activity and instruction.
The wide range of sports, recreational and social
activities satisfies every child's interests.
This 2012 Spring/Summer Program Guide has all the
information you need to learn how Bayview children will
enjoy their best summer yet!
JUNIOR TENNIS Bayview tennis clinics, lessons and camps
include a variety of after-school, weekend and summer
options for beginners to the most serious players. Small
groups and expert instruction (led by Pro Jonathan Jacobs)
ensure tennis lovers from 5 to 17 years old receive ample
individual attention, gain skills to grow their games and
generally enjoy a great tennis
experience.
JUNIOR GOLF It's never too early to get your kids into golf!
While it can be an intimidating game for juniors (and
adults!), the guidance of Pro Jeff Long and his staff helps
make it simple, fun and addictive for children, from the
youngest beginner to teens with their eyes set on a scholarship or pro career. Our comprehensive range of golf camps,
group lessons and individually customized instruction provide every child with the skills needed to enjoy golf for life.
JUNIOR FITNESS Fitness isn't just for adults! Children as
young as 8 years old can benefit from learning how to exercise properly and safely. Our certified instructors, working
from our fully-equipped 1,600 sq. ft. Fitness Centre, craft
personalized programs including cardiovascular fitness, conditioning, flexibility, balance and co-ordination, uniquely
tuned on the needs of juniors.
SWIM Our beautiful outdoor pool is staffed full-time by an
incredible team of accredited lifeguards and instructional
staff. Aquatic programs and lessons include Red Cross
instruction up to Bronze Cross, Swim Kids for children ages
4 months and up, and personalized instructional programs.
FUN & SOCIAL EVENTS Juniors at Bayview have many
opportunities to socialize with old friends and meet new
ones, while enjoying fun and exciting activities. Events
range from sports and recreation to parties and theme
nights. For information on all the available activities, contact the appropriate program co-ordinator or check the
club events calendar.
The Junior Activities Committee is committed to the
enhancement and development of programs and activities
for Bayview children. I welcome your comments, suggestions and feedback, and look forward to seeing you on the
court, in the pool, at the gym, on the course or in the clubhouse.

It's never too early to get your kids into golf! And here's the perfect way to do it -a special course set out just for our aspiring juniors, with their own designated set of
tees. Most of the holes, with the exception of the par 3's, are between 150 and 180
yards. Pee Wee golfers must be registered with the golf shop; must be accompanied
by their golf member parent, and are subject to all club rules & regulations.
SNAG (START NEW AT GOLF) - Ages 5 to 9
It's never too early to learn to golf!
Open to Golfing and Non-Golfing Families.
SNAG is a unique kids-oriented game of golf developed by former PGA Tour players
Wally Armstrong and Terry Anton. It's a perfect way to introduce our 5 to 9 year
olds to the great game of golf without the need to focus on mechanics. The goal is
to introduce fundamental swing movements, improve hand/eye co-ordination and,
most important, have fun! Kids come out of the SNAG program with a positive perspective on golf, a feeling of confidence and the tools necessary to move to the next
stage of learning to golf.

SNAG works best when mom and/or dad participate along with your kids. (It's fun
for you too!) The program includes several 30-minute sessions and a fun, exciting
tournament on Championship Day.
SNAG PLUS - *NEW PROGRAM* - Ages 5 to 9
Bridge the gap from SNAG to golf camp.
Open to Golfing and Non-Golfing Families.
For SNAG graduates who are still under 10 years old, SNAG Plus is a brand new
initiative designed to bridge the gap between the SNAG program and Half-Day Golf
Camps. Participants will learn the fundamentals of putting, short game and full
swing using real golf equipment. The focus remains on both learning and fun, and
parental participation is encouraged.

HALF DAY GOLF CAMP - Ages 8+
Professional training for the beginning junior golfer.
Over the years, our half-day golf camps have proven to be a
great way to teach the game to children 8 and above, while
providing all the fun of a summer camp experience. Each
camp runs for 3 consecutive days, from 9am to noon. Our professional staff makes use of a curriculum based on the 'Future
Links' program developed by the Canadian PGA and the Royal
Canadian Golf Association.
While the camps are primarily geared to novice golfers, experienced juniors can also benefit from a review of the game's
fundamentals. The agenda for each day is meticulously organized, and facilitated by two CPGA professionals. The full
swing and short game are covered in detail, with an emphasis
on safety and fun. Etiquette, Rules of Golf and competitive
play are introduced as the camps progress. Refreshments are
provided throughout the morning, and each participant graduates with a certificate of completion and a keepsake gift.
Space is limited to 10 students each session on a first
come/first served basis. Members are encouraged to enroll
their children early as the camps are a popular fixture on the
junior golf calendar.
Get more details at www.bayviewclub.com.
2-DAY ON-COURSE CLINIC - Ages 8+
A program for juniors to really kick-start their game!
Juniors who have gained some skill and now wish to really
kick-start their game can make dramatic score improvements
with this comprehensive 2-day program. The clinic includes a
combination of work on the practice range and in the short
game area, as well as on-course instruction. Our Canadian
PGA Professionals work closely with all golfers in a 3:1 student/teacher ratio.
GIRLS ONLY CLINIC -*NEW PROGRAM*
A golf clinic developed just for girls, taught by a female Pro!
Finally, a golf clinic taught by, and
designed for girls only! PGA of Canada

CUSTOM DESIGNED JUNIOR INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS
*NEW PROGRAM*
Bayview's Golf Professionals are skilled at designing instructional programs that cater to the unique needs of Junior
golfers of all ages and abilities. If one of our regular programs
is not for you, we will tailor a program that provides exactly
the skills and expertise you need to bring your golf game to
the next level. Programs are available for individuals, groups
or families.
SPONSORED JUNIOR PROGRAM
Golf is critical to the club experience for Junior members, just
as juniors are critical to both the present and future of
Bayview. Today's junior members often grow into tomorrow's
Bayview families, so we recognize how important it is to invest
in their futures as both golfers and people. Lessons learned at
Bayview go far beyond those on the course.
Each year, Bayview extends an opportunity to 10 aspiring
junior golfers to join our club. They benefit from the ability to
take advantage of all the Club amenities including extensive
golf course privileges, and they represent Bayview at inter-club
and other golf events. Sponsored juniors must be recommended by a golf member, and meet certain age and other
requirements.
Warren Crosbie Scholarship: Starting in 2012, two of our
sponsored juniors will earn the annual Warren Crosbie
Scholarship. The recipients of this award will demonstrate
commitment to academics, golf and volunteer activity.
If you know of a deserving junior golfer, please contact
Tamara Gaudino at (905) 889-4833, Ext. 316 or

Swim Patrol Jr. Lifesaving Awards as well as the Lifesaving and
Leadership Awards Bronze Medallion and Emergency First Aid.
Registration of 4 swimmers is required for Bronze Cross. This is to
ensure there will be enough people to act in the roles of rescuer,
victims and a bystander.
All of our aquatics staff have obtained a current NLS and are certified in Standard First Aid and CPR, as well as the appropriate certifications for the programs they instruct.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Private and semi-private lessons may be arranged at times and
