The International Christian Montessori Academy of Costa Mesa Elementary

For the past 2 ½ years, we’ve worked closely with local businesses to
understand their workforce needs and to provide the most qualified
candidates in commercial, administrative, and professional positions for
short and long-term assignments. As a full-service staffing provider, our
solutions include, evaluation hire, direct hire, temporary and contract
staffing, professional search, and HR services. Plus, we’re an ISO 9001:2008
registered business so our customers know that we are committed to

From the very beginning, students learn to build an identity for themselves
while developing close, respectful, and meaningful relationships with other
students and adults. ICMA students get to know and help each other over
several years and learn to work through difficult times with their friends or
peers. This sets the stage for a better understanding of the larger world and
a desire to help others as they grow past adolescence.
My goal is to be a trusted, HR resource for small- and medium-sized
businesses in my community.
In 2013, Express put nearly 400,000 jobseekers to work worldwide,
and here in Costa Mesa we helped 577 people find jobs and 112 clients
businesses find employees. Because we’re members of this community,
we have a vested interest in Costa Mesa and want to help the people and
businesses of name of city thrive and grow together.
Students who are educated at ICMA of Costa Mesa are always eager to
take on new challenges and the setting is ideal for creating self-starting,
self-motivated students. What better environment for learning than one
that promotes independence, mastery, purpose, responsibility and respect.
Students develop competence through self-will, self-direction, and selfdiscipline not an over confidence, but an excitement to apply what is
already learned to what isn’t yet learned.
WALL MURALS
How the International Christian Montessori Academies came to be: In 1962,
Inayat Bergum moved from Paris, France to Southern California and assisted
in opening the first Montessori school in Southern California. This school
was the Sophia Montessori of Santa Monica. In 1964, as a result of Inayat
Bergum’s dedication to high educational standards, the first Montessori
school in Costa Mesa, California, known as the Montessori Centre School,
was founded. Throughout the years, Ms. Bergum trained numerous
teachers using Montessori methodologies and she opened many Montessori
schools throughout the Orange County area in Southern California. The
International Christian Montessori Academies were launched in 1982, for
the expressed purpose of celebrating among children to have them learn
to appreciate and to understand the importance of having tolerance of
different religions united with an attitude of Love, Harmony and Beauty.
Initially, ICMA provided a program for children aged two years to six years
old. In order to meet the growing needs of its student body and parents, a
six- to nine-year-old elementary program was introduced in 1985 to extend
the unique educational experience to older children. In 1993, the nine to 12
year-old program was added to complete the Montessori elementary school
experience. In August of 2007, International Christian Montessori Academy
of Costa Mesa opened with one 3-year old student, Ali Vargas. January of
2012, ICMA of Costa Mesa added a Toddler program for children ages 18
to 30 months of age.
