Introduction
At ReCon, we are proud of our tradition of offering a product line
that adds value for our customers, and for our wall design and
wall contractor partners. Whether the ReCon application
focuses on the scale and aesthetics of the ReCon Block, the
durability of the wet-cast, air-entrained concrete, the
considerable gravity wall heights that can be achieved, or the
construction efficiencies associated with our product, it is our
intention to solve site specific challenges and add value.
The design of a ReCon segmental retaining wall may be fairly
straightforward or it may be quite complex and involve a high
degree of geotechnical and/or civil engineering expertise. At first
glance, the steps involved in construction of a ReCon retaining
wall appear relatively simple. In fact, they are; however, it is
critical that these procedures
are done properly if the wall
is to last and perform as
designed. This is due to the
fact that the ReCon units
themselves are often just a
key component in what is a
more complex and interdependent composite
earthen structure. A number
of important variables
must be analyzed before a
proper wall design can be
finalized.
This manual is intended to
provide wall designers,
wall installers and others
with the information useful
in the design, the
construction and cost
estimation of a ReCon retaining wall that will remain attractive
and structurally stable for the duration of its intended design life.

Jandris Ground Face CMU are extremely durable, fire and mold resistant, and energy efficient due to high thermal mass. The
characteristics of our locally sourced natural aggregates give Jandris Ground Face Blocks a unique and appealing aesthetic. The smooth
ground face finish of these units works well in structures where a maintenance-free wall system is desired.
These units, available in normal weight and medium weight classifications (dependent upon color), can be used for interior and/or exterior
applications as fully finished walls, banding courses, or combined with other concrete products.

FLU T ED AN D TAPE RED
Our cast poles are fluted and tapered for a Neoclassical look. They have a larger circumference that tapers to 3" tenons to
fit all our luminaires. Also, they come in fixed heights within a particular series so it’s important to check their measurement
to determine if they fit the specifications for their intended site.
Like their extruded counterparts they have optional dusk to dawn photocells, and exterior and interior grounded outlets.
They are also heavier and can hold larger luminaires, and comfortably support double bracketed lights.
Finishes in standard, premium, and custom order make these poles an easy-to-use component on any tree-lined boulevard
or broad avenue. They are the best choice for that small town and historical look that so many communities desire.
