Alia Primary School had its pompous
celebration of Independence Day in the
school premises on the 6th of December
2010. Most of the girls came in their
colorful “thobe al nashil” and the rest of
the students in their red and white attire.
There was singing and dancing of
traditional music. Questions from the
Quran was readily answered by the
students. It was indeed an enjoyable day
for everybody and it developed students’
understanding of local traditions and
Bahrain’s culture.
