EXPLORATION OUTLOOK IN 2014
EXPLORATION
• 2013 Exploration and mining companies drill 179 km, which was 51 % lower
than 2012 (366 km)
• Annual reports, 38 reports from different companies
• 15 biggest companies done 97 % of all the investment in exploration
• It seems that total volume of prospecting and drilling continue to fall 2014
PERMIT PROCESS
• Exploration permits “backlog” is no longer a reason why companies can´t make
effective exploration.
• Companies have been able to prioritize the order of their applications.
• The problems that are slowing down exploration and mining is finance,
unexpected requirements from environmental authorities, their backlog as well
as appeals durations (Administrative court and the Supreme Administrative
Court).
