It is hard to express how gratifying it is to receive so many sincere inquiries regarding the Duck’s well being. To be frank, our sales have dropped, particularly with our business customers – catered lunch meetings and the like. It makes sense though – everyone is trying to find the next dollar to cut from their expense column and that meals and entertainment line item looms large. Fortunately, a fair amount of that loss of sales is seemingly being offset by many of our caring customers checking in with us on a regular basis. So, given the circumstances, we are holding our own and with your continued support we will be just fine. But most importantly, and with humility and gratitude…, thank you for asking. The Duck’s Birthday Celebration!
IT’S OUR BIRTHDAY!
Please join us on Saturday, December 4th from 12:00 to 4:00 as we celebrate our 38th birthday!
We will be introducing the newest additions to our menu featuring The Fiery Italian, Grilled
Chicken Breast Sandwich, The Trailblazer (a great tasting and healthy treat for kids and
grownups) as well as two new snacks. We will also be sampling many of the items featured in
this newsletter and in our gift selections. We will also have live music from 1:00 to 4:00.
We will be celebrating your birthday too! After considerable thought we have found a way to
continue the tradition of our toy box for those of us who have aged-out of that special part of your
visit to the Duck. We have offered a birthday club to our guests under the age of 13 for decades
and now offer a birthday club for our “older” patrons. Instead of choosing from our toy box you
will receive a LADMO BAG! If you are not familiar with a Ladmo Bag, just ask anyone who was
fortunate enough to have lived in the Phoenix area during the mid 1950’s to the late 1980’s.
Be one of the first 50 customers to sign-up

bringing this bag of goodies back to the Valley
after twenty year absence and there might be
an appearance by a special guest to help hand
