Regional Leadership Conference
Xi Lambda recently sent a delegation of eight men to represent the Chapter at the
TKE Regional Leadership Conference in Atlanta, GA. The conference offers the
unique opportunity for chapters from around the southeast to come together and
develop themselves as leaders and Fraters. RLC provides training on a variety of
topics including leadership, recruitment, sustainability, and values. Our men attended sessions discussing “Frat vs. Fraternity," “Living your Values," "Top TKE,"
and “Public Speaking & Presentations.” However, the undergraduates' favorite part was the ability to meet other Chapters
and learning from each other. The Xi Lambda Alumni Association also had two men attend the Alumni Volunteer Academy.
It was very rewarding for all of our delegates to meet with TKE's Grand Prytanis, Frater Bob Barr, and talk about Xi
Lambda's bright future.

Most Valuable Employee In North America
Frater Dylan Radford
Pledge Year: Spring 2007
Graduation: December 2011
Degree: B.S. Geology
Career Update? - Most Valuable Employee in N. America
Frater Radford currently works for Landmark Graphics, a subsidiary of Halliburton. As Managing Consultant for Geology and Geophysics, Radford oversees, manages and consults the Oil and Gas exploration industry. He teaches clients around the
globe how to best utilize high-end software for interpreting and analyzing geophysical
data to find and acquire oil and gas. Thanks to his hard work, Dylan was recently selected as the most valuable employee in the North American Region.
Favorite TKE memory? - Chartering Ceremony
My favorite memory would be receiving our charter and the ceremony with
Frater Bob Barr. It was exciting to see everyone together and celebrate with all those
who helped along the way. We all worked so hard for so long to make that moment a
reality. It was incredibly rewarding to see the culmination of all our efforts. It’s an accomplishment I’ll never forget. I hope the men continue to succeed, produce great
young men, and build the culture of love, charity, and esteem the Founders of TKE
envisioned.
Most valuable thing you got out of the fraternity? - Leadership & Friendships
Chapter leadership roles provided me with experience and skills that have
made me more marketable and successful in my career. I apply something I learned
through the fraternity daily; be it recruitment, organization, or effective communication.
I’m constantly surprised how the skills I learned from Xi Lambda can be applied in the
"real world." Enjoy the time you spend with your brothers. The friendships I made
through the fraternity are lifelong and I know the men of Xi Lambda are forging those
same types of relationships. Enjoy building those bonds with the people you love.
Outstanding Undergraduate
Alex Yox is a junior Biochemistry major graduating in the
Spring of 2015. Following graduation, he plans to attend
medical school to become a doctor. He joined Xi Lambda in
the Fall of 2011 and has been heavily active, serving as Philanthropy Chairman and overseeing the Chapter's Run for
Reagan event. Last year's 5K run raised over $5000 towards
the Alzheimer's Association. Alex has dedicated himself to his studies, finishing
last semester with a perfect 4.0 Grade Point Average, which is no easy task with a
difficult course schedule filled with numerous science classes.

Memories of Xi Lambda
Frater William Robert “Bob” Hubbard, Jr.
Graduation: 1979
Degree: A.B. Economics
I have so many memories it's impossible to pick a favorite; Beach Social, Disco Frat, Midnight Breakfast Pajama
Party, Formal Toga Party Yell Like Hell, Izod Open Golf Tournament, and Miss Legs Charity. Being young, foolish, and
happy each Spring on Jekyll Island at Red Carnation Ball was
a great escape from class. However, while everyone one remembers the big events, in most cases, the small events are where friendships truly developed. I remember Battle Star Galactica and sports in the TV room, the smell of stale beer, cleaning before
alumni weekend, intramural sports, UGA sports, Georgia-Florida, and NCAA Tennis in the spring. We
screamed our guts out for our beloved Dawgs.
Finally, fraternity and brotherhood events were of biggest value; Chapter meetings, Pass the
Gavel, pledge books, signing paddles, big brothers, little brothers, and more. No matter the event, Xi
Lambda represented TKE in fun, exciting, and charitable ways during my college career. I will always
have fond memories of these events and my brothers that made them so important.
I believe men learn to be men from other men. I witnessed many things that made me the
man I am today. While it took me many years to absorb some lessons, I know that I owe much of my
adulthood to the people I spent time with during my college career. Shared experiences are great, but
lifelong friendships are built on shared values and strong connections. I hope the men of Xi Lambda
work to make the transition from college fraternity men to successful husbands, fathers, and community leaders.
Soon after leaving college, I began work at Delta Air Lines as a Flight Attendant. My Delta career took me to many wonderful places where I came to know wonderful people. I joined Cingular
Wireless’ IT group in 2006 as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Shortly after joining Cingular, we became AT&T
and today I work to improve AT&T’s software development lifecycle processes. I met my wife, the former Elaine York, during my last quarter at UGA. We have been married since the fall of 1981 and
have two wonderful daughters. My oldest, Hillary, is to be married this spring, a proud 2010 graduate
of UGA's Grady College of Journalism. My youngest, Madeleine, is a freshman at UGA, plans to major in Sport Broadcasting, and is the coxswain for the UGA Club Rowing Novice Women’s 8’s. It is
impossible to describe how blessed I am in my personal life.

Frater David Williford
Graduation: 1984
Degree: Pharmacy
Frater David Williford
& wife Tracy
I started my time at UGA in the fall of 1978, knowing only one person, Jimmy
Deloach, who had joined something called TKE. The first of my family to go to college, I
knew nothing about fraternities. What I found was a great group of guys who first accepted
me as a friend of Jimmy’s and then as a friend of theirs. I waited to pledge until Spring
Quarter 1979 so I could focus on my grades, knowing that pre-pharmacy would be a tough
road. That’s right kids, there was once a quarter system. Jimmy and I lived together the
following year in “the house,” where I learned what true brotherhood meant. I formed relationships in those next few years that have lasted more than 30 years.
I served as the Pledgeclass Educator a couple of times and enjoyed shaping and
educating the new brothers. TKE won many trophies for our athletic prowess in intramurals
and we had the respect of the Greek community in general. At this time, TKE was very
young at UGA, but we won “Fraternity of the Year” 5 of the 6 years I was there. I remember many festive nights at Poss’ Lakeview and some great White Pearl Weekends. Some of
my best memories should not be conveyed by the written word as they could be incriminating to others, haha. I can’t imagine my time at UGA without TKE.
I graduated from Pharmacy School in 1984 and have worked in retail since that
time. I married a fantastic woman, Tracy Harper, from Savannah in May of 1986. We have
2 wonderful children, Brett (24) and Allison (22). I love to talk about them more than anything else. Early on, I was able to reconnect with The God of my childhood and we have
been greatly blessed as a family. I’ve enjoyed coaching my kids in several sports, but I
definitely needed more time away from work.
About 10 years ago I decided to incorporate myself so that I could set my own
work schedule. I needed more flexibility, hence the name Pharmaflex, Inc.! I’ve been
working as a Pharmacist from home for the last 4 years, managing the medications for a 50
bed hospital in Savannah. I have since become one of the three owners of 3AM Technologies. We manufacture, sell, and implement safe medication dispensing systems for hospitals and correction facilities around the world. These are the cabinets and carts that you see
anytime you are in a hospital. I am truly excited and hopeful for what the future holds.
The strides of the new breed of Xi Lambda Tekes at UGA over the past several
years has been very encouraging. I have traveled to Athens for continuing education and a
few football games. I have always been welcomed by the brothers. I even attended a chapter meeting a couple of years ago which brought back many memories of days that will be
forever in my heart. I am hopeful for TKE and only wish that I lived closer so that I could
