A - NEW PAINTING PROCESS
Internal painting process
In order to increase the quality of our cranes and improve the resistance to heavy
weather conditions we’ve updated many aspects of our internal painting process.
Surface preparation
Before the washing, the structure of the
crane is checked and (if necessary) the
imperfections of the surface are corrected by
grinding the surface with a special tool;
Washing
The surface of the crane is washed with a
new process before painting:
st
1 – crane high pressure washed with a new
de-greasing solution heated to 50 °C;
nd
2 – crane rinsing by high pressure water
spray heated to 50 °C;
Primer painting
All the structure painted in-factory is covered with an average of 60
micron layer (40 micron minimum) of primer with water-borne resins and
anticorrosive pigments. It forms a film that has strong resistance to
aggressive chemical agents, solvents, salt fog corrosion.
The chemical solution of the primer was changed to ensure a better
distribution on all the surface.
Primer paint is white color in order to reveal to the painter any areas not
completely covered.
Primer paint is applied in a climate-controlled area, humidity and
temperature are controlled to have consistent quality.
Final painting
The entire structure painted in-factory is
covered with an average 60 micron layer
(40 micron minimum) of water-borne bicomponent enamel with acrylic resins. The
product forms a hard elastic film with
excellent resistance to outdoor weathering.
Air in the paint spray is pre-treated by an
ATE machine to have:
- constant spray temperature,
- constant air quality
2
- higher paint quantity per mm
Final painting is applied in a climatecontrolled area, humidity and temperature
are controlled to have consistent quality.

NEW FEATURES
A - NEW PAINTING PROCESS
Quality controls
The painting process is standardized by a written ISO9001 procedure.
Paint quality is checked through the entire manufacturing process, including suppliers.
In-painting quality control
Our quality technicians check that correct procedures and materials are used in the internal painting process.
The painting process is applied in a climate-controlled area; and during each painting operation we check
temperature, humidity, timing, product quality, and machine settings, to have consistent quality.
Painting quality control
Our quality technicians check the final coating thickness in five different positions for every unit. We also constantly
check the brightness and final color of internal painting processes.
External quality control
Our quality technicians directly check painted items received from our suppliers to ensure correct painting
procedures are used, including materials used and the thickness of final coatings.
Final quality control
Once the crane is finished, each unit is controlled by a quality supervisor which checks the paint quality and the
aspects of the crane.

NEW FEATURES
B - NEW ZINC SURFACE TREATMENT
Electrolytic zinc treatment is made in accordance with the international standard ISO
2081 and is applied in order to increase the corrosion resistance.
The deposit consists of zinc on the surface protected by a layer composed mainly of
chrome in accordance with ISO 4520. Trivalent chromium (Cr3) is used, in compliance
with Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS).
De-greasing.
Before applying the electrolytic zinc coatings, proper surface preparation is carried out on the piece to be treated, in
order to obtain good adhesion of the deposit. Fat and oil residues are removed with a degreasing bath of alkaline
solutions diluted in water. This is followed by a brief immersion of the pieces in water to rinse the surfaces of the
degreasing solutions, then the product is subsequently subjected to pickling (chemical descaling), to remove the
layers of steel contaminants. The artifact is then again dipped in water to remove remnants of salts and acids from
the surface.
Electrolytic zinc
This is a zinc coating on iron metal, obtained by passing an
electric current through a cell containing an electrolyte (bath)
solution of alkaline salts of zinc. The iron acts as a protecting
cathode while the anode is zinc. Under the action of electrical
current, the zinc ions are deposited on the iron cathode.
Minimum thickness of zinc: 12 µm.
Passivation and final sealing
After the zinc plating, passivation treatment is performed to increase the corrosion resistance of zinc deposit.
The use of either is not used only for aesthetic reasons, but also to increase corrosion resistance.
To further increase the corrosion resistance of the zinc particularly after passivation, a film wax-based sealant is
applied.

NEW FEATURES
D – 108 - 111
Manually extra extensible stabilizers
NEW MANUALLY EXTENSIBLE STABILIZERS WERE INTRODUCED
WITH EXTRA LENGTH:
CRANE 108
CRANE 111
- standard stabilizer outreach: 3470 mm
- extra wide stabilizer outreach: 4555 mm
- standard stabilizer outreach: 3770 mm
- extra wide stabilizer outreach: 4820 mm
More stability
Mounting extra wide stabilizers increases the stability of the vehicle and the precision of crane operation.
This solution allows an increased distance of the tilting axis from the middle of the truck, and frequently an
improvement of the stability coefficient.
As a consequence in many cases it is possible to avoid the installation of supplementary stabilizers (price
and weight advantages).
More precision and safety
A higher stability coefficient of the truck-crane assembly
always means more safety for the user, reducing the risk of
the truck overturning. A higher stability coefficient also
reduces uncontrolled movement of the truck, so the
precision of the boom movements also improves.
How it works
The capsizing moment of the crane mounted on the truck is
generated by the moment generated by the lifted load (Qp x
D Qp) and the moment generated by the boom itself (G x
DG).

J – UPGRADE SETTING FOR XL AND
2XL
In order to set the stability functions of the load limit device it is necessary to perform a
guided self-learning procedure through 360° of rota tion. According to requests received
from the service network, a new simplified procedure has been updated allowing system
setup through only 180° of rotation.
Guided self-learning procedure on 360°
New guided self-learning procedure on 180°
Acquisition of the pressure
For the pressures P1,P2,P3 a maximum pressure is acquired every 20 degree. Now it is possible to choose
whether to perform the acquisition of the pressure on 360° or only 180° and with the upgraded procedur e it’s
possible to acquire the pressure on only 180° for c alibrating the load limiting device. You can choose one of the
two angle sectors (0, +180°) or (0, -180°) and foll ow the calibration procedure in the selected angle sector. The
system will check and evaluate the pressure values acquired and will determine the correct pressure and
parameters necessary for all 360°.
Less time to set the crane
Using the new setting procedure based on 180° slewi ng angle it is only necessary to acquire half of the setting
parameters compare to the complete setting procedure. This allows the technician to save a large amount of time
during crane setup.
Less space needed to set the crane
Using the new setting procedure based on 180° slewi ng angle it is only necessary to acquire the data by rotating a
half turn, and as a consequence allows the procedure to be performed in a smaller parking place compare to the
complete process.

NEW FEATURES CE MARKET
L – DUAL SAFETY SYSTEM
The dual safety system can be mounted (on request) on cranes equipped with 2XL to
improve the safety of the stability control. A slave electronic control unit is connected by
the CAN-Bus line to the EBB to control additional input and output signals. With the new
system, the operator is able to take advantage of new useful options selectable through
the load limiting device.
Output signals for beams fully open
and stabilizers on the ground
For each beam mounted on the truck and for each
stabilizer (including the extra set of stabilizers) the
system provide an output signal which turns ON
when the beam is fully open or stabilizer is on the
ground (OUT 0 – 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7). These
output signals could be connected by the installer
to lights to indicate to the user the position of the
beams and stabilizers.
Radio single function mode
When INPUT 0 switches to OFF the EBB
comunicates to the radio receiver to move only
one function at a time (even if the operator moves
more than one lever on the transmitter). This
function could be activated or deactivated by the
installer by programming the EBB. The Input 0 could be connected by the installer to a switch to turn single function
mode ON or OFF.
Radio extra slow speed
When INPUT 0 switches to OFF the EBB communicates to the radio receiver
to move the functions with an extra slow speed. This function could be
activated or deactivated by the installer by programming the EBB. The Input 0
could be connected by the installer to a switch to turn radio extra slow speed
ON or OFF. Extra slow speed setting could be adjusted by the installer
programming the EBB.
Extra safety pressure setting and safety function
When INPUT 0 switches to OFF the EBB allows crane movement only when
beams are fully open and stabilizers are on the ground. In this configuration,
the EBB setting pressure and slewing sectors change to new parameters set in the EBB itself. This function could
be activated or deactivated by the installer by programming the EBB. The Input 0 could be connected by the
installer to a switch to turn the extra safety pressure setting ON or OFF. Pressure settings and slewing sectors
must be adjusted by the installer by programming the EBB.
De-activation of the manual/radio button on the EBB
When INPUT 1 switches to ON the EBB switches to RADIO mode and it’s not possible to switch to MANUAL mode
using the button on the EBB or on the radio transmitter.
Carry over function
When INPUT 2 switches to ON the EBB turns the emergency valve ON. If the crane is overloaded the emergency
valve switches to OFF when operator tries to move a function not allowed by the safety system (example:
extensions OUT).

NEW FEATURES CE MARKET
M – KIT WARNING LIGHTS & HORN
Optional only for NOT CE market
On request we can supply a system which provides visual and audible warnings for 90%
and 100% of the crane’s nominal capacity. A display also shows the pressure in the main
cylinder.
90% - 100% warning lights
The LED light tower signals when crane is powered, 90% loaded, 100% loaded using a combination of green,
orange, red lights. The LEDs on the light tower are high brightness in order to allow the user to see the signal even
in daylight or from far distance. The light tower is waterproof to ensure a high level of reliability.
Warning horn
The LED light tower also integrates a horn to signal when the crane is 90% loaded and 100% loaded. When the
crane is 90% loaded the horn is intermittent, when crane is 100% loaded the horn is continuous.
Programmable pressure switch (Hydac)
The kit includes a pressure switch which turns the orange and red lights on the LED
light tower ON/OFF. The pressure switch also includes a display which shows the
pressure (bar) inside the main cylinder. The pressure switch can be set by the installer
using the setting buttons present on the pressure switch.
How it works
When the pressure reaches 90% or more of maximum, the module sends power to the
light tower to activate the 90% (orange) light and an intermittent alarm.
When the pressure reaches or passes 100%, the module sends power to the light
tower to activate the 100% (red) light and a continuous alarm.
The alarm sounds for 90% and 100% are different to allow the operator to know if he
reached 90% or 100% without looking at the crane.
The warning light kit doesn’t affect the crane’s lifting capacity and load limit device.
20
NEW FEATURES NO CE MARKET
N –EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON KIT
Optional only for NOT CE market
Emergency stop button allows the crane to be stopped completely on request.
How it works
In an emergency situation, the emergency valve connects the output of the pump to the tank to stop crane
movement. The valve is closed only when energized, so it must remain energized for the crane to operate.
When the emergency button is pressed, it removes power from the emergency valve and stops the crane.
If the crane has two emergency stop buttons, they are connected in series with the emergency valve. Both buttons
must be up for the crane to operate, and pressing either will stop crane operation.
In a normal condition, the oil flow circulated by the pump flows through the control valve, passes across the return
filter, into the tank, and once again through the pump.
An important feature of the emergency stop button is that once it is pressed it remains pressed until deliberately
reset.

STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEMS:
S System
The “S STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM” is standard on 600T series with manual controls
for the CE market: 602T – 603T – 604T – 605T.
Functioning
The S System integrated in the load limiting device
checks the stabilizers’ positions. Only when all
beams are fully open and all stabilizers are on the
ground can the crane operate and lift loads.
The 90% - 100% LED on the control panel show and warn the user when the crane reaches the nominal limit of
capacity.
Emergency stop button is also present on control panel to stop the crane in emergencies.

STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEMS:
XL System
The“XL STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM” is standard on medium and high range models
with manual controls: 807NT-809T–811T–816T–818T–806N–807N-808N–810–812– 815–
817–820–823–825–828–924–ALL “C” VERSION CRANES WITHOUT RADIO.
Functioning
The EBB checks the positions of the stabilizers
beams controlling two positions: beam fully open,
beam not fully open. Depending on the position of the
beams and the stabilizers, the crane’s lifting capacity
changes according to the settings made by the
installer.
This allows the operator to use the crane even with a
beam partially or fully retracted without having stability
problems.
EBB Control Panel
Optional RCS
The Rotation Control Sensor constantly checks the slewing position of the crane and limits the lifting capacity
depending on the beams’ and stabilizers’ positions.

APPENDIX
STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEMS:
2XL System
The “2XL STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM” is standard on medium and high range models
with radio remote control for CE market: 809T – 811T – 816T – 818T – 908N – 810 – 911 –
812 – 815 – 817 – 820 – 823 – 825 – 828 – 924 – 933 – 936-946 – 950 – VR85 – “C SERIES”.
Functioning
The EBB checks the positions of the stabilizers and
divides the working area into 4 slewing sectors: over the
cabin, right side, left side and the rear of the vehicle.
Depending on the position of the beams and the
stabilizers, the crane’s lifting capacity changes according
to the settings made by the installer.
This allows the operator to use the crane even with a
beam partially or fully retracted without having stability
problems.
The HPES (Proportional Encoder Sensor) recognizes 3 positions of the stabilizers’ beams: fully
open , half extended , fully closed.
The HRCS (Rotation Control Sensor) recognizes 4 slewing sectors: over the cabin, right
side, left side, to the rear of the vehicle
The CAN-Bus radio–control allows the operator to know
the positions of the stabilizers and the loading conditions
of the crane.
With manual opening stabilizers, the 2XL System only
recognizes completely open or completely closed beam
positions.
