Have a wiener dog? Then get ready for some fun at this year’s Oktoberfest Wiener Dog Contest.
Contestants can compete in their favorite category and win prizes!
DATE: Saturday, September 28
TIME: Check-in Noon, Event starts at 1 p.m.
PLACE: Main Stage on Douglas Street in downtown Lee’s Summit
ENTRY FEE: Pre-event registration is $5 per dog (due by 9/26). Day of entries will be $10 per dog.
CONTEST CATEGORIES INCLUDE (SELECT ONE):
• Best Costume
• Best Trick
• Best Pet/Owner Look-a-like
PRIZES: Prizes, courtesy of Brookside Bakery & Bath, will be awarded to the top three in each category
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
• Dog must be a dachshund (short, long or wire haired)
• Entry form must be complete for every dog
• Dogs may only participate in one category
• All dogs must be restrained
• Female dogs in heat will not be permitted.
• Grocery carts and wagons may be used to haul dogs; no cars or trucks will be permitted.
• Adults and Children are encourage to participate with their dogs.
• Awards will be presented to the top three in each category immediately following the contest on the
Main Stage.

Wiener Dog Parade sponsored by the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce and Brookside Barkery & Bath; and
