OBTAINING A PERMIT FROM THE LOCAL ELECTRICAL INSPECTION
AUTHORITY.
ALL ELECTRICAL WIRING BETWEEN SAUNA HEATERS, HIGH
POWER CONTROLS MUST BE THROUGH A LIQUID TIGHT METAL
CONDUIT RACEWAY.
ALL HEATING COMPONENTS MUST BE LOCATED AWAY FROM ANY
COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS, AND MUST BE KEPT AWAY FROM THE
DIRECT RADIANT PATH OF THE HEAT DISPERSED FROM
THE HEATERS.
DO NOT INSTALL HEATERS ON CEILING, AND MUST BE KEPT
A MINIMUM DISTANCE OF 24 INCHES BELOW THE CEILING
SURFACE.
THE COMMANDER CONTROL HAS A BUILT IN HI-LIMIT CUTOFF
RESET SWITCH, THE CAPILARY TEMPERATURE SENSOR FROM
THAT SWITCH MUST BE ALSO LOCATED WITHIN THE SAUNA
ROOM AT CEILING HEIGHT.
All wiring to the heaters must be routed away from any
direct radiation from the infrared heating units, and be
made with liquid tight conduit.
For electrical hook up follow the wiring diagram. This work should
be done by a Licensed Electrician only.
Use minimum 90 deg. C/300V copper conductors only, sized in
accordance with National and Local electrical codes.
The information in this book is intended to assist in building a safe and effective infrared sauna.

Plug cord coming out of power box into a dedicated isolated circuit. Do not overload yourelectrical wiring. Have a qualified licensed electrician check to make sure that your installation
meets local electrical code.
Emitter plugs are 120 volt typical recepticals. Although this does not reflect on the voltage
of the control, it may be 240 volts. The control box and the wall outlet plug for the sauna
states the saunas voltage.
