Outcast Streamer XL Pontoon Boat with Hand

Donor:
The Fishin' Hole; Outcast
The Streamer XL s short length and compact size make this
boat great for making the transition from a float tube to a
pontoon boat. The pontoons are designed for easy
maneuvering with fins or oars. The 6 piece steel frame comes
with an anchor system, motor mount, aluminum breakdown
oars, a mesh cargo deck, and adjustable foot bars.
FRESH WATER—CLEAN FUTURE
The cold, clean trout streams we have today are
all we are ever going to have. The planet’s rivers
represent about 1/1000th of a tablespoon out of a
five gallon pail of water. The amount of water
representing our planet’s coldwater fish bearing
waters is too small to even demonstrate.
Our responsibility today is to ensure these streams
will be healthy and vital so future generations will
enjoy the benefits we enjoy today. Your
participation at tonight’s event plays a vital role
in helping Trout Unlimited Canada carry out its
mission towards this goal.
Thank you for being part of the solution!

TFO BVK 865, 4-pc Fly Rod, Prism II Reel and
First Cast 5-wt Line
Donor:
Edmonton Dinner Committee
TFO went back to the drawing board for this one. The new
Lefty Kreh BVK (Bernard Victor Kreh) rod is the result of a
yearlong collaboration between Lefty, Gary Loomis, our
skilled engineer, and the many highly qualified casters who
make up the TFO Advisory Staff. Their goal in building this
rod was three-fold: make it light, make it strong, and make it
cast better than anything we've ever produced. And they have
succeeded for Lefty says, "I've dedicated the past year to
designing the BVK rods; they are everything I hoped for. You
can't beat the performance, and you sure can't beat the price."

TAX INFORMATION
The Canada Revenue Agency has ruled that the price paid for
an item at a charity auction is the fair market value of the item.
The price paid will therefore not be allowed as a charitable
donation for tax purposes.
Purchasers of art or other items for business purposes are
subject to the provisions of the Income Tax Act in
respect to capital gains, capital cost allowances and
expense deductibility.
Generally, works of art by Canadian Artists which are used to
enhance business premises are eligible for capital cost
allowance.
Revenue Canada has ruled that:
1. A charitable receipt may be issued for the “fair market
value of a property donated for an auction.”
2. A charitable receipt may be issued for property bid on
during an auction where:
a) Fair market value can be established
b) The intent to give threshold is met (fair market

THE WINE BAR
We are pleased to be able to offer the following fine
wines for your dining pleasure this evening.
RED WINES
2006 GLAETZER ANAPERENNA SHIRAZ CABERNET
PRICE: $50
“The 2006 Shiraz (75%) – Cabernet Sauvignon (25%)
“Anaperenna” is the wine formerly known as Godolphin,
the change resulting from a trademark dispute. It was
aged for 15 months in new French and American oak.
Opaque purple, it offers a sensational bouquet of pain
grille, scorched earth, meat, game, blueberry, and black
currants. This is followed by a surprisingly elegant yet
powerful, structured wine with gobs of spicy fruit, ripe
tannins, and a plush texture. The long, 60-second finish is
succulent and sweet. Give this classy wine 4-6 years in
the cellar and enjoy it through 2030. Hats off to Ben
Glaetzer for producing an extraordinary portfolio!”
Robert Parker: 94-97/100
2010 SMIDGE HOUDINI
PRICE: $30
“Deep garnet purple in color, the 2010 Houdini Cabernet
Sauvignon gives notes of menthol, chocolate, black
currant cordial and cloves with a whiff of cedar. Medium
to full-bodied, rich and concentrated on the palate, it has
refreshing acidity and fine grained tannins, finishing
long.” Robert Parker: 87/100
WHITE WINE
2009 SMIDGE HOUDINI SAUVIGNON BLANC
PRICE: $30
“Bright straw-green; a complex, indeed compelling,
Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc, the textural play coming
as much from edgy, yet tropical, fruit flavours as more
normal origins. “
James Halliday: 93/100

CHAIR’S MESSAGE
WINSTON FLY ROD RAFFLE
Tonight our Winston Rod Raffle will have 3 winners
thanks to long time supporter John Mitchell.
The first winning ticket drawn will have their choice of
ONE of these great Boron IIIx 5-pc rods, with the
second ticket drawn choosing one of the two rods left
and the third lucky winner getting the remaining rod.
Adding to Winston's industry-leading Boron IIIx series,
in 2012 they introduced three new 5-piece Boron IIIx
specialty rods--"the ultimate Boron IIIx 5-piece travel
rod." Moreover, these new Boron IIIx 5-piece rods pack
into a tiny 24" long beautiful deep green graphite rod
tube, 5" inches shorter than the tube that holds our 4piece rods. all ready to pack into the overhead bin or slip
into your bag. Let the adventures begin!
Boron IIIx 4-wt, 5-pc rod
Ideal delicate and smooth casting rod for packing into
remote spring creeks and other technical waters, yet the
Boron III materials provides reserve power capable of
generating faster line speeds and handling windy situations and larger rivers. Incredible portability and fishing
versatility for a 4-weight.
Boron IIIx 5-wt, 5-pc rod
Unquestionably the best, high-performance all-around
ultra-travel rod with an unbelievably wide casting range
from 20-ft to 100+feet. Light, powerful, smooth, fun to
cast, this rod has a responsive tip to cast in close with
small flies, and yet has extra Boron III power capable of
generating significant line speeds to punch into heavy
winds or cover longer distances with larger flies without
feeling stiff.
Boron IIIx 6-wt, 5-pc rod
A more powerful all-around ultra-portable rod with
extraordinarily broad casting range of 25-100+ feet.
Traveling to big rivers, for big fish, in stronger winds,
this rod will provide you everything you need without
being too stiff. Outstanding for streamers, nymphs, big
water, big winds, yet still versatile enough for gentle dry
fly presentations up close.
Each rod has been marked

On behalf of the Dinner Committee I want to take this
opportunity to congratulate the Northern Lights Fly
Tyers/Edmonton TUC Chapter for being recently
selected as one of the recipients of Canada's
