Domaine Carneros
the organic estate vineyards
“We’ve always taken an active role to preserve the health of the land. The organic certification is the result of years of
hard work and dedication to the land, and we’re delighted to reach this point in our farming practices.”

In addition, Domaine Carneros purchased the
50-acre Tula Vista vineyard plot in 2012, to be planted in 2013.

100% CCOF-certified organic Estate-grown Carneros Pinot Noir
60% pinot noir, 40% chardonnay
Twelve Pinot Noir selections matched to their ideal site
Minimum 3 years of aging in the bottle on the lees
before release; will further develop for 10+ years
Gentle handling of the grapes from start
to finish
Aromas of freesias, baked pear, melon, and citrus
peel enhanced with notes of toast and vanilla. The
wine is elegantly structured, round and flavorful
with our classic long, creamy finish
Even as a child I was
drawn to sparkling wine. The
bubbles and glasses captured
my imagination. When I
moved to California from
the East Coast to make wine
there was no question as to
what kind of wine I would
make. After thirty-five years it
is still my passion.
Because Domaine Carneros
is a small winery, I have the
luxury of being a hands-on
winemaker. I know our estate
vineyards inside and out, their
challenges and strengths, and
I know each lot of wine they
produce every year.
A chef may make their famous
dish thirty times a night, but a
winemaker makes wine once
a year. What does experience
count for? Taste it.
Cheers!

“It’s paradoxical – farming
is simple, it’s been done for
thousands of years. And yet
making great Pinot Noir
is hard; you have to get
everything right. Wine is the
sum of a hundred decisions
you make. But the first
decision has to be to spend
time in the vineyards, you
have to get out of the truck.”
