Our consultants work with a client’s IT staff, in-house counsel, and outside counsel to create a collection strategy that
fits the needs of the case. Working together, the team creates a strategy that includes a thorough interview for each
custodian in order to identify locations where potentially relevant email and edocs may be stored.

and via remote, web-based consultation. In either scenario, Planet Data technicians use best practices and forensically

All targeted data is collected using forensically sound acquisition processes. All data is documented, validated and
QC’d at the time of capture to confirm exact duplication (via hash value) and metadata preservation. Planet Data
technicians only use secure hardware-encrypted portable hard drives for storage and shipment of electronic files
acquired during a data collection.

Once targeted data has been captured to encrypted drives, Planet Data technicians provide documentation for all
collection activities (including chain of custody documentation), and arrange for transport of collected data to Planet
