teacher to see what it
was really like.
Teacher:
Mrs.Merrit
Q: Why did you want the
students to go on the
field trip?
A; I wanted the
kids to get a

Q: How do you think the
students benefited most
from this trip?
A: The students got to
have a fun time but also
they got to learn about
science at the same time

Glow Dance
How was the last dance? Well, it
was really bright with glow sticks.
Did you see anything interesting? I
did. There were all these people that
were in this one picture. The people
could barely fit into the picture and
the photographer had to stand on
a chair to fit everyone in. It looked
so awesome!
Daniel Casillas thought, “It was better
than the Super bowl dance. The glowing
things that were there, made it look like a
cool party.”
How awesome was this dance? I
think it was okay, but that’s what I
think. These are what some people in
Jag Paw thought:
So, peace people; and people that
didn’t go to any of the school dances and
is not an 8th grader: go to next year’s

that's what they shared,
closing her eyes, he
leaned in for a kiss.
What stopped him, was
the whispers he left on
her lips.
“I've wanted to say this
for such a long time. I
like you more than words
can define...”
She smiled and closed her
eyes as she caressed her
hair.
There was not sound, no
one near.
His kiss was magical.
Fireworks of stars.
She felt no more heartbreak,
no more scars.
As for the boy, he was
happy and the girl was
too.
“Smile, my dear.” said
the boy.
“The only one I want is
you.”

Google Epicness by Sonja Merrick.
Have you ever been extremely bored in the computer lab with some free time?
Perhaps it’s because for some strange reason Kyrene blocks sites like cool math even though there’s
NOTHING bad on it? Well worry no more because the answer is in the most popular browser its self. Goooooogle!
I think it’s pretty safe to say we have all used Google search. And we have also all enjoyed the fun games in the home screen that come on for
special occasions such as the Olympics games, holidays, and anniversaries. Of course that’s not all the fun that can be found….. Easter eggs are
fun surprises that you have to find and look out for.
These tricks work best when you start with the home screen and it will not work on Safari browsers. I’ll give you a couple but the real fun is in
discovering your own.

On This Day in History
On May 9, 1914, Mother's Day became
an official holiday. Mother's Day is a
celebration honoring mothers, motherhood, and maternal bonds. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of
the world, most commonly in March,
April or May.
by Lyndsey Nesbitt
Mother's Day was an American invention, it
was an idea in which women brought to
attention. Mother's Day is a time to love
your mom with something more than just
love, you promise to do something, to love
and trust her with your every breath. So
when this time comes around, be sure
to tell your mother that you love her
and make sure you show it too.
We hope you took the time to thank
your mom last weekend. If you didn’t,
it is never too late—moms always love
a thank you! :)
