COMPANY PROFILE
Asiatainment was started by Edmund Chen to help ordinary people or hopeful artists, who may not
normally have the chance, to realize their dreams and potential. From there, a free workshop arose
known as Mission Easy which was purposed to give the general public a chance to get involved in a
film production process, be it writing, acting or even directing.
From this workshop teams are created to produce a short film each of around 10 to 15 minutes
revolving around the theme “love”, which will then be compiled into a feature-length film for select
screenings at film festivals, supporting theatres and charitable functions.
Through the 2-day workshop, Edmund also enlisted the help of 12 dedicated friends from the
entertainment industry as mentors to the participants, and successfully turned 30 members of the
public into script writers, actors and directors for the first time. Also chalking up first experiences
as film directors are well-known personalities and artistes such as Xiang Yun, Vincent Ng, Alaric,
Rahimah Rahim, Ericia Lee and Loretta.
Mission Easy received overwhelming response in participation and won accolades and positive
comments from those who were involved.
In the past few months, Asiatainment have managed to produce 6 short films that eventually were
compiled into one feature film titled “Echoing Love”
From this successful start, Asiatainment hopes for this platform to continue to be fruitful in creating
and helping aspiring talents gain recognition in the local and international entertainment field.
Producer/Associate Director’s PROFILE
Edmund Chen is an internationally-known celebrity with over 25
years of experience in the media and entertainment industry.
He has to his credits 90 television appearances (English and
Chinese), 10 international movies, 4 solo albums, 4 stage plays,
5 publications and involvement in special events such as the
Centennial Olympics and organizing the “X-files” acting seminar.
He was also on the judging panels for prestigious events such as
Asia Pacific Film Festival and the Golden Bell Awards in 2000.
Because of his well-likability and high popularity, Edmund
has always been a preferred choice of product owners for
endorsement and ambassadorship duties. These brands include
Beijing 101, Mitsubishi Electric, G Spa amongst others.
He is also talented in design and was awarded for his packaging
design for four consecutive years by Singapore Star Packaging
Awards from 2002 to 2005.
Over the years that Edmund has been in the entertainment
industry, he has not only excelled as an actor on both stage and
onscreen, but also as a multi-talented over-achiever who showed
that he is equally versed in being a host, a singer, a director, a
producer, a designer.
He is respectively the Executive Producer and Co-Producer of
Mission Easy’s pilot project, “Echoing Love” . Now Edmund adds
yet another feather to his cap – that of a social-preneur.
Edmund strongly believes in cultivating a greater sense of sharing,
helping one another and doing good deeds to the benefit of
the society at large. Most often than not, he observes that
people generally are reserved and not forthcoming in sharing
or helping people, creating a void in basic human connect with
one another, sometimes even among friends.
He therefore takes it upon himself to advance and promote
these social goals through many of the initiatives that he now
kick-starts or endorses.
Edmund’s endorsement and ambassadorship with select
organisations
such as the Red Cross Society, National
Environmental Agency and Singapore Post, reflects his
unwavering belief and goal to spread the message of doing social
good, helping people and sharing as far and wide as possible.
However, what Edmund considers his family as his greatest
achievement in life. He is married to Xiang Yun, one of Singapore’s
most renowned actresses, with whom he is raising one boy and
one girl.
SUPERVISING DIRECTOR’S PROFILE
Glenn Chan is a veteran in his field with over a decade of
experience as a Director in Singapore’s media and entertainment
industry. His list of accomplishments include a slate of dramas
and sitcoms, the latest being Fighting Spiders and Anything
Goes.
After graduating from his Diploma in Film and Media Studies at
Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Glenn started as a grip for film crews.
Over the years, he has directed numerous popular local dramas
and sitcoms. His portfolio of work includes: Heartlanders Season
3 and 4, First Mums, Yang Sisters Season 1 and 2, 80’s Rewind,
Enbloc, Fighting Spiders Season 1 and 2, Anything Goes and My
Time with Ah Gong (Telemovie)
Glenn has always been interested in the way humans react to
their environment. “Discovering and understanding the thoughts
and emotions of characters through my actors and storytelling is
exciting to me,” Glenn explains.
His hard work paid off when ‘My Time with Ah Gong’ won
runner-up in 2007 Asian Television Awards. Additionally,
Fighting Spiders Season 1 won the ‘Special Prize’ in 2009 Seoul
International Awards.
In the future, Glenn strongly believes in focusing more on
theatrical releases. However, he will still stay active in the
television industry.

FILM TITLE
From Edmund Chen’s workshop, Mission Easy comes a series of short films revolving around the
theme of love that were compiled into one feature length production entitled “ECHOING LOVE”.
This film aims to explain that all of the love that has been put in to this film from the writers, directors,
actors and crews, will be reflected back by the producers, community and amongst themselves,
hence the name ‘Echoing Love.’
It should showcase all of the love that has been involved in the production to create a masterpiece
where each of the smaller parts compliment each other and come together to create a device
which drives the powerful theme of love forward and how it flows between the separate parties
involved.
The idea of this ‘love’ is meant to be showcased not only in the short film portions or even the final
full-length product, but also in the production of the films and how those involved in the creation
approach real life.

Ye Qing Tian meets an asthmatic boy, Yu Kai, who is recuperating at her grandmother’s home. The
two, however, can neither touch nor hear each other as they are of two separate worlds. Furthermore,
Yu Kai cannot see Qing Tian at all. Their only means of communication is through tying their messages
onto a rainbow doll. They fall in love, and the rainbow doll is moved by their love.
