INITIAL SITUATION:
Myronivsky Hliboproduct is a leading supplier of poultry products in the Ukraine, headquartered in Kiev. The company operates five chicken meat farms and two breeding
farms. The poultry is processed into food products in the company’s own plants.
For the new production location in Ladyzhyn, viastore was selected as the system
in­tegrator to build an automated frozen storage warehouse with temperatures down
to minus 18 degrees Celsius (0 degrees Fahrenheit) for the energy-efficient storage
of these food products.

SYSTEM SOLUTION:
The interlinking of the food processing, storage and shipping areas was a special
challenge in the design of the logistics center. The meat is processed, flash frozen and
then packed into boxes and placed on pallets. These are transported into the multideep
storage warehouse via the conveyor system. viastore installed three viapal automated
storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) machines that store and retrieve the pallets up
to ninefold-deep with the help of shuttles. Picking takes place according to the goodsto-person principle. The viadat warehouse management system makes intelligent
pre­calculations of all processes in advance so that they interlock smoothly and without
loss of time. In addition, it ensures that each product is in the right place at the right
time, from goods receiving to storage, order picking and goods shipping.
