CASA of Central Texas was formed in 1985 by concerned community members who recognized that children
in foster care would fare better and receive more help if they had an independent, trained and consistent
adult advocating for their needs. We had 18 volunteers in our first year. This year, over 200 CASA
volunteers have advocated for 442 children in State foster care. However, there are still children without a
CASA. Our goal is to provide a volunteer advocate for every child that needs one.
This is CASA’s largest fundraising opportunity and includes dinner, live and silent auctions, games, live
music and entertainment as our guests celebrate the accomplishments made in the fight against child abuse.
