Our Farm:
Complete with farm animals and a colony of bees,
refugee youth are afforded time away from the challenges of city and
family life to enjoys fresh air, nutritious fresh food, animals to study
and know, and the opportunity to gain invaluable life skills. All of our
youth participants qualify for free and reduced lunch, so in addition
to developing leadership, teamwork, and scholastic abilities, they are
provided with substantial amounts of produce to feed their families.
Our Purpose: Growing Colorado Kids is a place of safety
for refugee youth where their strength, knowledge, and confidence
grows through hands-on learning, community service, and educational
programming. By collaborating with volunteers of all ages and
backgrounds, youth achieve challenging farm projects that build
confidence and community.
Our Values: Leadership, teamwork, community building,
healthy nutrition, organic growing, and public service.
