All memorials can be designed to meet your individual
requirements. We can supply unique plaques, memorial
features, headstones, and other monumental sculptures based
on the design of your choice and in a range of sizes, materials
and finishes.
We are happy to quote for cleaning headstones, renewing concrete, re-gilding faded text and
renewing chippings on existing graves. We are also able to quote for adding inscriptions onto
existing headstones for additional family members. Sometimes there is not enough room on
the headstone for extra names and we are happy to discuss alternatives such as the addition
of an engraved plaque or book memorial for a kerbed grave, or a raised plinth with room for
an inscription on which to sit the existing memorial.

Choosing a Memorial
Often it can involve several members of a family, some or all of whom may have differing views on the
memorial itself, the content of the inscription and possibly the price. It is important therefore to buy from a
company where your needs will be fully understood.
Our experience in the memorial business is your guarantee of a complete, caring and quality service.
About Our Memorials
Our standard memorial comes with a headstone size of 27" high, 21" wide and 3" thick. They come
complete with base stone measuring 24" by 12" by 3". All memorials can be smaller or larger than the
standard sizing above, up to a maximum permitted by the churchyard or authority. Most cemetery
authorities restrict measurements to 4ft high by 3ft wide.
Prior to any order commencing we will send you a picture of your memorial with the design and inscription
as it will appear for your approval. You will receive your order form with full cost, a customer confirmation
form and a cemetery form. Only when you are ready to go ahead will a deposit be required and any
cemetery fees due.

The memorial will be fixed on a 460mm by 920mm concrete foundation slab with an approved ground
anchor system when required by the church or cemetery authority.

Cremation Memorials
At Manx Memorials we both buy in and manufacture cremation memorials. Some churchyards have a specific
type they insist upon and others are more flexible, we can help guide you through the options. If you would like
to add a memorial plaque to an existing grave we will try to match the material as closely as we can to the
original headstone so that it is in keeping with the whole grave. Please call us and arrange a visit if you would
like more information.

At Manx Memorials we will try to guide you through the enormous selection of memorial choices. Whilst the
churchyards have rules and regulations limiting sizes and sometimes the shapes allowed, there is a large choice
when it comes to materials, from granites and marbles, to limestones, slates and sandstones. We can tell you
about each material and how it will last and look.
We will approach the authorities on your behalf to obtain permission for the memorial before ordering any special
commissions.

Additional Inscriptions & Renovations
At Manx Memorials we are happy to quote for cleaning headstones, renewing concrete, re-gilding faded text and
renewing chippings on a grave to bring the graves back to a bright finish. We are also able to quote for adding
inscriptions onto existing headstones for additional family members. Sometimes there is not enough room on the
headstone for extra names and we are happy to discuss alternatives such as the addition of an engraved plaque or
book memorial for a kerbed grave, or a raised plinth with room for an inscription on which to sit the existing
memorial.
We will always visit the grave before giving a quotation for the work but this will be itemised and we are happy to discuss
any alternatives. It is useful for you to provide us with a photograph of the stone and clear directions, or to agree to meet us
at the churchyard to show us the family grave.
We will apply for permission from the Church Authorities on your behalf prior to doing any work, and will give you an
