X15 Battery Interconnects for Photovoltaic (PV) applications
Designed for series or parallel battery configurations in
Photovoltaic (PV) applications. Made from a durable,
tin plated, UL approved Machine Tool Wire (MTW), which is
rated for use in 600 Volt applications. Battery Interconnects
are assembled with tin plated copper lugs (3/8”) and heavywall heat shrink tubing as a barrier to moisture, dirt, gas,
oil and other contaminants. Battery Interconnects have
a conductor ampacity (free air) of: 120 Amps for 4 Gauge,
265 Amps for 2/0 Gauge and 360 Amps for 4/0 Gauge.

NEC Recommendation
Battery cables, even though they can be 2/0 AWG and larger, must be
a standard building-wire type [i.e. Machine Tool Wire (MTW] conductor...Welding and automobile “battery” cables are not allowed. Flexible,
highly-stranded, building-wire type cables are available for this use.
Flexible cables, identified in Section 400 of the NEC are allowed from
the battery terminals to a nearby junction box and between battery
cells. These cables shall be listed for hard service use and moisture
resistance [690-74].

battery applications. Made from a durable Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)

Battery Grounding Straps are designed to
connect to engine blocks to provide
current with a return path. Features a finely
