Bodnar. “When you look at the number of
years, and the dedication of each of them
in their role, it is truly inspiring.”

CONGRATULATIONS
TIGERS
Will serve a one-year term while board conducts a national superintendent
search.
The Centralia School District
Board of Directors has appointed
Mr. Steve Warren as Interim Superintendent, to fill the vacancy left by
the departure of Dr. Steve Bodnar.
Mr. Warren is a longtime employee of the District, having served
both as Assistant Superintendent
and Director of Teaching and Learning. Most recently, Warren taught
science at Centralia High School for
the past three years
“I’m very excited to once again
be a part of the District’s administrative team,” said Mr. Warren.
“I’m looking forward to hitting the
ground running on July 1st.
The CSD Board of Directors will
work with a consulting firm to
conduct a search for permanent Superintendent beginning in October.
LARGEST C.A.P.S GRADUATING
CLASS EVER
Also the last class to graduate from the C.A.P.S. program.
Eighteen students participated in the Centralia Alternative Programs and Services (C.A.P.S.) graduation ceremony
on May 30th, bringing the total number of C.A.P.S. graduates
to 29 for the year. “This is the largest graduating class that
C.A.P.S. has ever had,” said lead teacher, Faye Olason.
In addition to being the largest C.A.P.S. graduating class,
this year’s group will also be the last. Next year, C.A.P.S. will
be known as Futurus High School, a name selected by students and approved by the Board of Directors, as the school
begins the process of becoming a unique entity, separate
from Centralia High School.
“This is amazing,” said C.A.P.S. Principal, James Bowers.
“The 29 students who have earned their diplomas this year
have overcome a great number of obstacles to get here.
They should be very proud of themselves.”
