Charming & Eclectic
Bathed in pure Atlantic light and crowned by the storybook St.

Portimão
Gateway to the sun-kissed beaches of the Algarve, Portimão is a small, colourful city with a thriving fishing port and an old centre sprinkled with
manicured parks and plazas. The fine waterfront is a delight for strolling, lined with outdoor cafes and restaurants where the scent of charcoalgrilled fish hangs in the air.
Cádiz
Cádiz is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the western world, with more than 3,000 years of history. This beautiful city has been largely
undiscovered by international tourists, but it is a popular destination for Spaniards in the summer.
The cathedral in Cádiz is by far its best-known landmark. It was built in the 18th century with gold imported from the New World. There is also a
museum with a breathtaking, and priceless, collection of gold, silver and jewels.
Gibraltar
Located at the southernmost tip of Europe, Gibraltar is literally between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Its unique
location has played a pivotal role in history, as countries fought for control over this busy seaport.
The impressive Rock of Gibraltar is an impressive sight and towers above the surrounding countryside. Beyond the Rock the old
town of Gibraltar consists of a main street jammed with tiny shops, a handful of museums and British charm.

Ocean – Rising from the cliff-side rocks, the Oceanographic Museum is home to a treasure trove of
sea life: seahorses, sharks, cuttlefish, sea cucumbers and more. The building itself is a monumental
work of art: It took 11 years to build, using 100,000 tons of stone from southeastern France.

Chilli Crab
Arguably one of Singapore’s greatest culinary
inventions, this famous dish is a must have during
any visit to Singapore. It is easily found in many
hawker centres and restaurants throughout the city.
What makes this dish so special is its sensuous, sweet
yet savoury sauce, created with a base of chilli and
tomato sauces which will electrify your palate and
satisfy your taste buds.
The red-tangy sauce is made deliciously fragrant
with light flavourings of garlic and rice vinegar,
while thickening flour and egg ribbons (produced
by adding beaten eggs towards the end of the
cooking process) give the chilli crab dish the fluffy
texture it’s known for.

Orchid
Singapore is a Garden City, rich in greenery and
biodiversity. It is fitting that the nation is represented
by a unique National Flower of its own, the orchid.
The most highly coveted of ornamental plants, the
delicate, exotic and graceful orchid represents love,
luxury, beauty and strength.
As the flower most associated with hybrids, the
orchid is also a symbol of Singapore’s multicultural
heritage. It is representative of the harmony among
the ethnic communities, as well as with the many
foreign visitors.
In Singapore, the flower is used in souvenirs,
jewellery and has become a source of inspiration
for art, songs, fashion and architecture.

Dubai
Dubai is one of the few cities in
the world that has undergone
such a rapid transformation.
Transport

Shopping
Dining
The Dubai Metro is an easy way for
visitors to get around the city and to
see large parts of it from the Metro’s
elevated tracks.
With a hot and dry desert climate, it’s
rarely cold in Dubai, even approaching
the winter months.
High end designer brand stores, mega
malls, gold and spice markets all
entice shopping enthusiasts to Dubai.
to be warm and
October tends
te
practically no rain and
dry, with p
temperatu
temperatures ranging from 25°C to
35°C.
Shopping malls in Dubai are unlike
any other in the world. Malls are big
enough to be small cities feature not
only recognisable stores, from the high
street to high end, but also feature
indoor ski slopes, art galleries and
much more.
Dubai has long enjoyed an excellent
reputation for the diversity and
quality of its restaurant scene, with
well known international names and
smaller local establishments offering
dishes and prices to suit all tastes.
Alternatively taxis are a cheap and
reliable way of getting around town.
From a humble beginning as a pearl
diving centre - to one of the fastest growing cities on earth.
Dubai today is a tourism, trade and logistics hub and has
earned itself the reputation of being the ‘gateway between
the east and the west.’
Travellers sshould pack loose ȴtting
cotton clot
clothing and a jacket or
cardigan fo
for when indoors.
Shopping at the souks in Dubai you
will ȴnd spices, gold, silver, diamonds
and clothing. Showing what Dubai has
been historically famous for, a stroll
through the souk will be an aromatic
assault on your senses.
In a single day, you can experience everything from
rugged mountains and awe-inspiring sand dunes
to sandy beaches and lush green parks, from dusty
villages to luxurious residential districts and from
ancient houses with wind towers to ultra-modern
shopping malls.
Due to Dubai’s strict alcohol laws,
you will ȴnd many of the city’s more
popular restaurants located within
four and ȴve star hotels, however the
lack of alcohol should not put you
off visiting some of the city’s more
authentic Middle Eastern restaurants,
which can be found throughout the
city.
