Joseph E. Scherger, M.D., M.P.H., provided the keynote
address “Emerging Models of Medical Practice: What
Research Needs to be Done?”, the fourth keynote
address in the Robert P. Carter Research Lecture series. Dr.
Scherger is Vice President, Primary Care at Eisenhower
Medicine Center, Rancho Mirage, California and serves as a
clinical professor of Family Medicine at the University of
California San Diego School of Medicine. He is pictured, at
right, with Dr. Toledo and Dr. Burns.
