Ground Breaking Ceremony Kicks-off New
Branch Construction
Ground breaking for MidWest America’s newest branch at 4140 E. Dupont Rd took
place on June 24th. Pictured above in front (left to right) is Darrell Gerig & Larry Minns,

This long awaited branch will be located near the corner of Dupont and Diebold
Roads in the new retail development “Dupont Corner” across from Parkview Regional
Hospital. This location was chosen due to the increased development in that area and
its great accessibility. This will complement our branch at Lima and W. Dupont Roads,
which serves members who live and work in the northwest section of the county.
Watch for updates and progress on our new branch to be posted to our website
throughout the summer. The new facility is expected to open later this fall.
For accounts meeting the monthly
qualifications, ATM fees will be refunded
up to $12.00. Accounts not meeting
the monthly qualifications will be
assessed a $5.00 fee. MidWest America
will no longer charge the $1.50 fee for
transactions done at ATMs that are not
owned by MidWest America.
Qualification requirements to receive
the higher dividend rates and receive the
ATM refunds are:
• Have at least one Automatic Payment
or Direct Deposit transaction post
and clear your checking account per
monthly qualification cycle.
• Have at least 10 debit card purchases
post and clear your checking account
per monthly qualification cycle
• Register and receive monthly
e-statements (must maintain a valid
e-mail address)
New Haven & Wayne Haven Branches to be Consolidated
On August 11, 2015, our branch at 2011 Wayne Haven Street will permanently close along with the drive-up ATM located
outside the building. This office was originally acquired in 2006, through a merger with Reliable Federal Credit Union. Due to its
close proximity to our other New Haven Branch at 987 Werling Rd, it was decided to consolidate the two office which are only 1.7
miles apart. The staff and management at the Wayne Haven Branch will be offered transfers to other area offices.
We look forward to serving the former Wayne Haven members at the Werling Road location in New Haven, which is across from
Crumback-Symons Chevrolet. There is a cash dispense ATM also available inside the Shell gas station at the opposite end of the
retail complex. In addition, a 24-hour drive-up ATM is located next to the Georgetown Library on East State Street that also accepts
deposits. This ATM is an easy 7-minute drive on the Maplecrest Road extension from the Wayne Haven office.
MidWest America will be closed in observance of
Labor Day on Monday, September 7th.
We will not be closed for any days in observance of Independence Day since the holiday falls on a weekend.
Branch Manager Retires
During the month of June, Faye Thompson, West Dupont Branch Manager, retired and moved back
to her childhood home in upstate New York. Faye began as a Member Service Associate and was soon
promoted to manager of the West Jefferson Office. She transfered to the West Dupont Branch upon its
opening in 2001.
Faye worked for MidWest America for 18 years and will be greatly missed; not only by her family of
coworkers but by the many members she worked with over the years. We wish her a very long and happy
retirement.

There has been some exciting movement within the Credit Union! The
following employees have either transferred into new positions or transferred
to new locations. Not only do these Branch Managers assist members with
day-to-day account needs, each of the following employees are also Mortgage
Specialists and assist our members with home financing options.
To fill the vacancy upon Faye Thompson’s retirement, Nichole Noll has
transfered from the West Jefferson Branch to manage the West Dupont location.
Nichole started at the Credit Union in 2001 and has held several positions:
Member Service Associate, Teller Supervisor, Assistant Branch Manager, as well
as Branch Manager.
Kathy Slane, has been named the Branch Manager of our West Jefferson
location. Kathy began her career there 12 years ago as Member Service
Associate. She most recently held the Assistant Branch Manager’s position at our
main office.
Alicia Penick McCarthy was recently promoted to Assistant Branch Manager
at Medical Park. She joined us in 1998 and has assisted members at our Medical
Park location previously as a Senior Call Center Representative.
Finally, Danielle Wetzel will fill the Branch Manager position at the
new East Dupont Branch once it opens later this fall. In the past 13 years at
MidWest America, Danielle has worked on the teller line as well as our training
department. She also worked as a Teller Supervisor until she was promoted to
Branch Manager of the Wayne Haven Office in 2007.
