7th Graders it’s your time to
shine.
By Steve Park
It’s time 8th graders. When we become high
schoolers. Well… Some of us anyway. We
took on all challenges that came to us and
stood up to take more. We put our blood,
sweat, and tears into our IDU. And we ALL
know it wasn’t easy. But it’s time we move
on, and let the 7th graders pick up where we
left off. You 7th graders! It’s your time to step
up the to the challenge, and do the same
as we did or better. We taught everything
and showed you guys everything you need
to survive and surpass 8th grade. But you
guys are also the next generation of the
Washington Middle school. So be proud
to be the ones that are going to represent
our school. Enjoy yourselves while your 8th
grade year lasts, but we will be waiting for
you when you graduate Washington and
come to high-school as a FRESHMEN.

By Joey Byeon
The last three years are the ones I will
never forget. Those years were filled with
unforgettable events that will stay in my
heart forever. But next year, I will be leaving
this school and pubic schools and go to
Punahou School. I’m very excited that I will
be going to the school I have wanted to go
for a long time. Although I’m happy, I am
also sad that I will be separating from my
friends I’ve known for a very long time. I
hope we can still be in touch.
Going to Punahou was a very big challenge
and I am very happy that I made it through.
I studied very hard for the test and practiced
countless times for my interview to keep my
profile high which got me in. But I wouldn’t
have gotten in if it wasn’t for all the support
I got from WMS. Over the three years, I
learned many, many vital skills I needed to
succeed. So I am dedicating this article to
my 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teachers. You were
the ones who got me from sentences to
paragraphs and from addition to quadratic
equations.
So from the
bottom of my
heart, I truly
appreciate
all of you for
educating and
helping
me.
Thank you.
