St. Timothy’s Special Needs Group is
looking for a couple of volunteers to
help with their meetings and activities.
The group meets on the first and third
Mondays of the month beginning the
third Monday of September until the
beginning of May. They meet from 6:30
p.m. until 8 p.m. A team of volunteers
has been working with the group for
many years. They would like to expand
their team. If you are interested or know
someone who might be interested, please

If you know of any special needs adults
who would like to join the group, our
first meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Monday,

DEMENTIA SERIES
“Dementia Basics and Building Your
Team” is first in the new series beginning
at 9 a.m. September 10 at St. Frances
Cabrini, 9000 Laurence, Allen Park.
MUSIC LEGEND TRIBUTE

You can hear that train a-comin’ with
Johnny Cash and Elvis along with
sidekick Waylon Jennings to the Legends
Dinner/Show at the Trenton Knights of
Columbus Hall. Prior shows have brought
us Legend Tribute Artists for Johnny
Cash, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Willie
Nelson, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison,
and Neil Diamond. All of these shows
have been sold out long before show time.
Dinner menu is roast beef, chicken, sides,
and includes soft drinks. Beer and wine
will be available for a donation to help
support our charities.

Support the Crisis Pregnancy Center by
joining its annual LIFE WALK from 2
p.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, September 18, at
Heritage Park (Northline and Pardee
Roads), in Taylor. Food and refreshments
will be provided to participants, the park’s Petting Farm
will be open to children, and prizes will be awarded in
drawings. Help provide urgent material needs and realistic

GIVE THE GIFT OF FOOD
All children are invited to place a can or two of
nonperishable food items in the basket
near the altar during Masses. All food
will be donated to the St. Philip Lutheran
Food Bank, of which St. Timothy Church
is a partner. Donations of food can still
be placed in the large wood box in the
vestibule at any time and will be collected
on Tuesdays for distribution on Wednesdays. Checks can
be written to St. Philip Lutheran Food Bank. Thank you!
