ORDERING
A written, faxed or e-mailed purchase order or a partial advance
payment and/or credit references will be required before an order will
be processed.
AUTHORIZED DEALERS
Possession of this catalog does not imply the right to purchase
products illustrated and priced herein. Sales are confined to accounts
established as authorized dealers only. A 50-percent down payment
is required on all orders until credit is established.
INVOICING
Product will be invoiced at the time of shipping. If a partial order
is shipped and a back order is created, you (the purchaser) will be
invoiced for the portion that shipped.
TAXES
If your facility is not taxable, a tax exemption form or resale certificate
must accompany your order.
TERMS
Net 30 days.
LEAD TIME
Lead times will vary, based on specifications chosen and available
manufacturing capability. Consult your Sauder Education sales
representative or the home office when placing your order to determine
estimated ship date.
STORAGE charges
Storage charges may incur if delivery has not been accepted by the
estimated ship date. Each month, an additional 2 percent of the total
purchase will be applied to the contract price for storage of chairs and/or
tables. If furniture is delivered and you (the purchaser) cannot accept
delivery, re-delivery fees and any loss or damaged furniture during the
time between deliveries shall be borne by you (the purchaser).

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS, change orders
AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Acknowledgments are sent out to customers as a means of checking
the accuracy of the ordered product. Sauder Education produces
product as indicated on the acknowledgments. It is very important
to check all acknowledgments immediately upon receipt. Changes
or corrections must be made in writing within five days of the
acknowledged date to avoid restocking charges. Orders cannot be
changed or canceled once inventory materials are committed to the
production process. Cancellations or change orders before that point
may be subject to a materials and restocking charge of up to 25 percent.
Changes may result in an extended delivery date.
FIRE CODES
Sauder Education products have always met or exceeded the
requirements of any requested local, state or national fire codes.
When ordered, this includes California 133 and the Boston fire code.
All Sauder Education products are comprised of materials that will
individually or collectively meet the requirements of California Technical
Bulletin 117. All polyurethane foams that are used by Sauder Education
in the construction of upholstered furniture are certified to meet
the requirements of California Technical Bulletin 117 by the foam
manufacturer. If your fire-retardancy needs are different than Sauder
Education’s standards, please contact your Sauder Education sales
representative.
Many Sauder Education products meet the California Technical
Bulletin 133 requirements. Remember, test results do not ensure
furniture performance in the event of an actual fire, nor can they
anticipate the surrounding environment of the furniture installation.
Care should be exercised near open flame or with burning cigarettes.
Additional fabric may be required for California 133 treatments; please
contact the factory for yardage requirements.
DAMAGE CLAIMS
Carefully inspect all items at the time of delivery and note any obvious
damage on the delivery receipt. For your protection, such obvious
or subsequently discovered concealed damage must be reported in
writing to Sauder Education within 10 days of delivery. Sauder
Education does not assume any responsibility for damage that occurs
during storage, unless storage is at a Sauder Education facility and the
title remains with Sauder Education.
OTHER CLAIMS
All claims against Sauder Education other than valid warranty claims,
including claims for shortages and errors, must be made in writing
within 10 days after delivery. The facts on which the claim is based
must be directed in writing to the Sauder Education factory. Failure
to make any such claim against Sauder Education within such 10-day
period shall constitute acceptance of the merchandise and waiver
of any shortages, errors or other claims. The cost of field repairs
or adjustments performed by any non-company personnel will not
be reimbursed unless previously authorized in writing by Sauder
Education.
RETURNS
Merchandise may not be returned to Sauder Education without Sauder
Education’s consent, and any returns must be in accordance with
Sauder Education’s shipping instructions.
Returns for reasons other than valid warranty claims will be subject
to shipping and handling charges and must be made F.O.B. Sauder
Education’s designated destination. In addition, substantial restoration
and restocking charges may be applicable.

by Sauder Education against defects in workmanship and

*This warranty covers the structure of the furniture: the laminated-veneer or solid wood frame,
the construction of the arms, table legs and stretchers, delamination of tables, and all fasteners
and moving parts. This warranty also covers the foam against defects in its manufacture and
composition and against excess sagging (not maintaining its original shape).

Education standard line. This would include, but not be
limited to, custom-designed parts or customer-specified
components, such as fabric, vinyl, foam, etc., that are
not a part of the standard Sauder Education Line.
4. Furniture that’s been unduly exposed to the elements
such as water, direct sunlight, etc.
5. Damage as the result of accident, fire, flood, civil disorder,
strike, Act of God, abuse, misuse or any cause outside
of ordinary usage.
6. Sauder Education warrants Sauder Program Fabrics if purchased through Sauder for use on Sauder products for
a period of three years.
7. Foam that is compressed less than 10 percent.
8. Scratching or natural wearing of finishes on chairs
and tables.
9. Any responsibility for the effects the chairs have on flooring.
10. Damage caused from shipping.
11. Trey glides and casters are warranted for a period of three years. All other casters used are also warranted for a period
of three years.
12. Tablet arms for renewable lounge seating are warranted for a period of 3 years.
C.
Sauder Education agrees to replace, repair or refund, at its
discretion, defective parts in material or workmanship.
D.
To receive benefits under the terms of this warranty,
the purchaser must:
1. Notify Sauder Education of the defect.
2. Fill out Sauder Education repair forms, which will be sent
to you, and provide a description of the defect.
E.
Any disputes over the provisions of this warranty will be
mutually reviewed by representatives of the purchaser
and Sauder Education.
F.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also
have other rights that vary from state to state.
G.
All other expressed or implied warranties, made by any sales
representative, agent or other representative, including any
warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular use,
are hereby excluded.

Renewability
Sauder Education Renewable Lounge Seating is designed to last a very
long time while looking great in the process. Using a 0.1875” (3/16”)hex wrench, the seating can be disassembled with little effort. And if
a component is damaged, such as an arm, it can be changed easily–
there’s no need to replace the entire chair. Fabrics are perishable,
and when soiled or torn, they can make even new furniture look old
and worn. That’s why our upholstery is renewable. Our fabrics are
attached using hook and loop closures, so they can be removed
and replaced. The fabric connections are accessible by disassembling
the chair, and the upholstery can then be applied to each component.

Sauder Education has the ability to tailor the seating comfort to the
customer’s needs. Softer foam options are available upon request.

materials are approximate. The Catalog contains the most accurate

are applied to the specific product’s standard wood type such as maple,
beech or oak.
Different kinds of wood, and sometimes pieces of the same wood of varying grain, take the same stain
differently. Therefore, Sauder Education cannot guarantee absolute color uniformity.
Custom finishes are available at an upcharge. Customer provides a
sample for the color match and must approve the custom finish match
before the order can be scheduled for production.
It is recommended that furniture being ordered for placement near
existing products have a custom finish match. Color variances may
occur between orders without a custom finish match. Custom finish
matches for any standard Sauder Education finishes are available at no
additional charge.
Reasons for variance are: (a) UV rays fade the finish over time; (b) Buildup of body oils can affect the
finish over time; (c) The chemical formula at the plant can have a slight variance over an extended
amount of time.
FABRIC INFORMATION and charges
Crypton colors may vary slightly between dye lots, since no two lots
can be color matched identically. Additional fabric may be required
for chairs using one fabric on the seat and another on the back. Contact
your Sauder Education sales representative for yardage requirements.
There will be an additional charge to the chair price for patterned
materials that require matching. Contact your Sauder Education sales
representative for pricing.

To ensure proper handling of COM fabrics, the following information

suggests that customers inspect the fabric before shipping. We assume
no responsibility for COM fabric wearability.
