Rolex 24 and Daytona
International Speedway
The Rolex 24 At Daytona® (ROLEX 24) in the US is one of the biggest, most
famous and prestigious 24-hour sports car races in the world. 2015 will mark
the 53rd Anniversary of the Rolex 24 At Daytona, which will take place from
24th to 25th January and will see some of the biggest racing talent come
together for the tough endurance race
T
he Rolex 24 At Daytona will be the second year for the
TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, the 2014 newly
unified organisation between the GRAND-AM Rolex
Sports Car Series and the American Le Mans Series presented by
Tequila Patrón. This partnership will continue to celebrate the
new era of America’s two major sports car racing leagues unifying
through 2015.
How it started
Sports car racing has a long and illustrious history at Daytona
International Speedway dating back to the first Rolex 24 in 1962 –
then known as the Daytona Continental.
Dan Gurney won the inaugural Daytona Continental, a
three-hour sports car race. Driving on the 3.81-mile road course,
Gurney, behind the wheel of the No. 96 Lotus-Climax 19b S 2500 car,
won the race completing 82 laps and averaging 104.101 mph in what
was the fastest sports car race ever run in the United States.
Gurney’s engine blew in the final moments of the race. In order to
win the race, he realised he would have to cross the finish line after
time expired. If he crossed the line before the three hours were up, he
would have to run another lap, which he was unable to do. Gurney
waited on the high groove of the 18-degree banked tri-oval and when
the watch struck three hours, he coasted the final five feet to take the
checkered flag and the win.
Historic Picture
The Rolex 24 has evolved throughout its 53-year history, from a
three-hour race, to a 2,000-kilometer race and then to a 24-hour race
beginning in 1966. The race has been won by many great champions
including Americans Hurley Haywood and Mario Andretti,
England’s Vic Elford, Brian Redman and Derek Bell, Belgium’s Jacky
Ickx and Mexico’s Pedro Rodriguez.
The 2015 Rolex 24 At Daytona will feature a star-studded field
of drivers. Expected to compete include Portugal’s Joao Barbosa,
American Scott Pruett, a five-time Rolex 24 champion, Brazil’s
Oswaldo Negri and Christian Fittipaldi, Italy’s Max Papis, Mexico’s
Memo Rojas and England’s Richard Westbrook.
German sports car and Formula One legend Jochen Mass will
serve as the Grand Marshal for the 53rd anniversary of the Rolex 24
At Daytona.
The Rolex 24 is much more than a race. Fans get to enjoy
autograph sessions, a carnival atmosphere, the DAYTONA 5K run/
walk, garage access and 24 hours of non-stop sports car racing
action. Other events planned include a wine and cheese party, Café
24 Breakfast Garage and a Bavarian Beer Garden.
DAYTONA Rising
During the Rolex 24 Weekend, sports car fans will discover a prime
viewing spot for the race – 40,000 wider and more comfortable seats
located on the west end of the frontstretch grandstands. These new
seats will provide an unparalleled view of the entire 3.56-mile road
course and give a sneak peek of DAYTONA Rising, the $400 million
frontstretch renovation project.
At the conclusion of DAYTONA Rising, a $400 million
frontstretch renovation project, five expanded and redesigned
entrances, or “injectors,” will lead fans to a series of escalators and
elevators, transporting them to three different concourse levels. Each
level will feature spacious social areas, or “neighborhoods,” along
the nearly mile-long frontstretch. Daytona International Speedway
will also have wider and more comfortable seats, twice as many
restrooms and three times as many concession stands.
The entire project is targeted for completion in January 2016, in
time for the 54th anniversary Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Phil Keen – 89.61 points
With six years of success behind this Sunoco Whelen Challenge, we have seen
a range of talent filter through our hall of fame, and 2015 is no exception as
Phil Keen has proved he has the skills to handle the Rolex 24 At Daytona.
T
he 2015 Sunoco Whelen Challenge is, for the first time, being
provided in partnership with Whelen Engineering, in the
USA and Anglo American Oil Company, in the UK. The prize
for the newly renamed ‘Sunoco Whelen Challenge’ will be a paid for
race seat in the Action Express Racing run No.31 Whelen sponsored
Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototype in the Rolex 24 At Daytona
which takes place on 24th January 2015.
This year we are proud to announce that Phil Keen, a 31 year
old British racer, who has been racing Karts since he was eight and
has competed in a variety of Championships during his career, has
finally seen his efforts pay off as he prepares to takes to the tracks at
Daytona International Speedway in January.
Phil ruled the standings table during the whole of the 2014
season whilst dominating the Radical SR3 Challenge and eventually
taking the 2014 SR3 Challenge Championship, with team-mate Peter
Belshaw, ahead of the 2014 Sunoco 200 Challenge Champion, Lewis
Plato. With this he won the 2015 Sunoco Whelen Challenge, and will
take the wheel on US soil for the first time at the ROAR in January
2015, the test weekend to prepare for the Rolex 24 At Daytona.
Phil has an extensive motorsport CV having driven in a series of
Championships, brand events, magazines and even for film, but will
the Rolex 24 At Daytona prove a challenge to the British racer?
The Sunoco Whelen Challenge has continued to catch the
imagination of racers from all over Europe over the last 6 years,
with nearly 500 people signing up in total, including stars such as
Daniel Ricciardo (second in 2010), Jean-Eric Vergne (second in
2011), Felipe Nasr (won in 2011), the late Allan Simonsen and Nick
Tandy. However, the 2014 race season belonged to Phil Keen and we
are sure he will prove his worth in Daytona in January in the Action
Express Racing run No.31 Whelen sponsored Chevrolet Corvette
Daytona Prototype.
74
The qualifying championships for 2015 Challenge were: Britcar
Endurance Championship, Radical SR3 Challenge, Radical European
Masters and the EUROV8SERIES.
The 2015 Sunoco Whelen Challenge prize consists of three test
days at the ROAR Before the Rolex 24, and of course the big race
itself in the Action Express run Whelen sponsored car no.31 in the
mighty ‘Rolex 24 At Daytona’. Also included in the prize are flights,
accommodation and a dedicated 2015 Sunoco Whelen Challenge
race suit, with the chance to step on to the top of the podium and
bring home the much coveted Rolex Daytona watch.

Sunoco 200 Challenge
Four years ago we introduced the Sunoco 200 Challenge to run alongside the
Sunoco Whelen Challenge. Since then it has captured the imagination of nearly
400 registered racers, and is increasingly becoming a talking point throughout
the UK and European paddocks
A
longside the Sunoco Whelen Challenge, we have continued
to run the Sunoco 200 Challenge for the 4th year running,
providing a winner, from additional eligible series to the
Sunoco Whelen Challenge, with a race seat in a Sunoco Chevrolet
Camaro car in the 200 mile endurance race on the Friday before the
Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Our 2015 Sunoco 200 Challenge Winner is young Swedish driver,
Oskar Krüger, who won the Radical Clubman’s Cup PR6 Class and
went on to drive away with this much coveted prize. Oskar is a
talented young driver from Linköping in Sweden (ironically the same
town MD Anders is from!) who fought hard all season for the prize.
Oskar has been racing since he was 9 years old, starting with Karts in
native Sweden, then in 2011 he moved on to racing Formula basic,
then moved to racing Radicals in 2012. The 2014 season marked
his second year racing in the Radical Clubman’s Cup and, with the
Radical series victory and the Sunoco Challenge under his belt, he is
a step closer to his dream of racing in the States.
Oskar will head out for the ROAR Before the Rolex 24 testing
weekend at Daytona in early January, where he will get his first
experience of the oval circuit and 31 degree banking at Daytona
International Speedway. After that, the Rolex 24 At Daytona race
weekend will be the next stop for this young Swede when he takes
the wheel of the Sunoco liveried Chevrolet Camaro for the BMW
Performance 200 on the Friday before the Rolex 24 At Daytona.
The 2014 Sunoco 200 Challenge was won by Lewis Plato after
his first year in Radicals during the 2013 season. Out in Daytona
he delivered an impressive performance in Friday’s 200 mile race
where he was driving the Sunoco liveried Chevrolet Camaro with
team-mate, 2013 TransAm Champion Cameron Lawrence from

Windermere in Florida, and were both delighted to cross the finish
line in 20th place.
Just like the Sunoco Whelen Challenge, included in the prize is
travel, hotel, the prize drive and a dedicated race suit. Oskar gains
the full American experience and a race in an American muscle car!
The qualifying series for the 2014 race season were: F3 Cup, GT Cup,
Radical Clubman’s Cup, Britcar Sports & Touring Car and Trophy
Series and the MINI Challenge and it was a varied battle throughout
the season!

How we deliver fuel
How we deliver fuel
• We work closely with the series organisers to develop a range of
joint marketing iniatives
Official fuel supplier
Some series prefer to leave fuel as a free choice for the competitors,
but like the option to have our support at their events, for those
racers who like to use a race fuel. Our service operates in exactly the
same way as a control fuel arrangement, apart from the fact that no
testing is carried out and marketing support is reduced.
Pumped service events
How we deliver fuel
Our wide range of race fuels are
supplied to our customers in a
wide variety of ways
Control fuel supplier
A number of race series have chosen us as their control fuel
supplier which means that all racers in that series must use the
nominated fuel for each race. We support these series by being on
site throughout the whole of the race weekend, including any official
test days.
Fuel is delivered to each competitor in drums and we collect any
empties after the meeting has finished. Spare fuel is always available
78
and unused, sealed drums can be returned. We test fuel samples on
site with our own FTIR infrared spectrometer, which produces a
very accurate chemical graph of the fuel, which is compared against
a reference sample.
The advantages to a series of running a control race fuel are:
• Our very consistent race fuels help protect engines from
detonation worries and reduce component wear
• Creates a level playing field for all the competitors
• Removes the legal issues that teams or individuals can face when
transporting large volumes of fuel
• Forecourt petrol stations limit the amount of fuel that they will sell
in cans. Although not enforced at all forecourts, this can make the
collection of large volumes of fuel not only time consuming but
difficult
Anglo American Oil Company Ltd • +44(0)1929 551557 • www.aaoil.co.uk • [email protected]
We have been working within the historic market since 2004 offering
a leaded fuel service with fuels available for sale by the litre.
We are the official fuel supplier to a number of premier UK
historic series, supporting all their UK events and selected European
rounds as well. Competitors are free to source their own fuel, but an
increasing number choose to use our service. Our fuels remove the
need to use other octane or lead replacement additives, which can if
over treated, cause misfiring.
Pallet service
For a limited number of series, we arrange to have all fuel orders
delivered to the race event by pallet service, for the series themselves
to take delivery and distribute amongst the racers.
This works well for low volume events and removes the need for
teams to transport their own fuel.
FTIR sample test results
Super Unleaded Batch No. 531
Sunoco RMR Batch No. 526
Home delivery
Our biggest group of customers are those that order fuel by phone,
email, internet or fax to our office. We are happy to send a single 25
litre drum or orders making up several pallets, using our hazardous
transport partner, Clarke Transport, who operate a 3 day or next day
service for any orders processed before midday.

24 Hour Racing
returns to England
2015 sees the much anticipated return of 24 hour racing in
England. The Dunlop 24 Hour at Silverstone will take place on
the 23rd–26th April 2015 in what is shaping up to be one of the
best instalments yet.
The Dunlop 24 Hour field will be one of the most diverse ever
seen with the organisers working hard to fill the 80 grid spots that
occupy the Silverstone circuit as there will be plenty of UK teams
defending home ground against their international rivals.
The organising team is once again proud to announce that
Sunoco will be once again the official fuel supplier for the 24 Hour
event, bringing quality fuel and service to the event which is an
addition that competitors also welcome.

Dunlop Endurance Championship
Kicks Off In 2015
As the Dunlop 24 Hour race at Silverstone is a non championship
event there is a 6 round series that will run during the year that will
be known as the “Dunlop Endurance Championship” which will
compete at 5 circuits around England and one very special visit to
Spa Francorchamps in Belgium.
The 2014 title was decided by 1 point so next year is shaping up
to be the closest yet! The organising team has endeavoured to keep
the format similar to 2014, with a 1 x 30min qualifying session &
2 x 90 Minute races (With the exception of the 1 x 180 min race
format at Silverstone).

R
adical Sportscars is the world’s largest manufacturer of
trackday and sports-racing cars, based in the UK but selling
over 220 cars per year to over 30 countries worldwide.
Sunoco, supplied by Anglo American Oil Company Ltd. is the
official race fuel partner of Radical Sportscars for its European and
UK domestic race championships.
The Radical Masters Euroseries, SR3 Challenge, Clubman’s Cup
and SR1 Cup have gone from strength-to-strength in 2014 with
packed grids and thrilling racing, both feats set to continue in 2015.
Cadwell Park, although they were kept honest right through the year
by challenges from a number of teams. Former Sunoco 200 Challenge
winner Lewis Plato came within a whisker of the title with some
storming race wins, and Cummings/Ellis picked up the third-place
silverware to support their Masters success.
2015 looks set to be another vintage season with new teams and
drivers already signing up, as well as the introduction of the new SR3
RSX evolution bringing even greater performance and driving pleasure.
Radical European Masters
The evergreen Radical Clubman’s Cup has enjoyed grids of over 30
cars throughout 2014 ensuring close racing and a tight championship
battle between the Supersport and Prosport classes. After many
near-misses at the championship title, 2014 was finally Steve Burgess’
year, with the Nottingham racer taking his SR3 RS to a well-deserved
series victory in the challenging end-of-season conditions at
Cadwell Park.
Throughout the year it had been a cat-and-mouse affair between
him and Prosport Class leader Oskar Krugar; the compact nature
of Krugar’s PR6 suiting some circuits whilst the stability and aero
of Burgess’ SR3 RS more applicable to others. Second place in the
Supersports Class was taken by Dan Vaughan, making a highlyimpressive graduation up from the Radical SR1 Cup. John MacLeod
scored third in the Class.
With Kruger taking the Prosport Class victory, second was scooped
by former Ginetta G20 racer Brian Murphy and third by Radical
veteran Richard Stables. The SR1 Cup Class took its first steps in
2014 with Mark Crader and Chris Car contesting the Clubman’s Cup,
expect this to grow in 2015 as the championship goes from strengthto-strength.
Radical’s premier pan-European endurance race series has visited
the Continent’s fastest and most challenging Grand Prix circuits
in 2014, with a calendar that kicked off in May at the famous
Nürburgring. The ever-popular Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps and
Circuit de Catalunya featured alongside Brands Hatch GP with the
Hungaroring circuit making a welcome return.
The 2014 European Masters season went down to the wire in
Catalunya with title protagonists Bradley Smith and Tristan Viidas just
a couple of points apart after a fascinating year-long battle. Viidas had
the initial upper hand, but retirement in the final laps of the last race
allowed 2014-Sunoco-Challenge-winner Smith to take the flag and
the title, making it three Radical championship wins in a row for the
young Billericay racer.
Another young racer, Tom Jordan, scooped third in the
championship at the final round, sharing the car with Radical stalwart
Alex Kapadia, whilst in the Supersports Class for SR3s, the title was
taken by the pairing of Andy Cummings and Bradley Ellis over Swiss
works team racer Shahin Nouri and the Spanish duo of Toni Forne
and Alvaro Fontes.

Radical Clubman’s Cup
In 2015 the Radical European Masters will once again enjoy an
unbeatable calendar of world-class race circuits running alongside
the well-promoted GT Sport and Kronos Events packages, and will
continue to offer the same exciting 50-minute endurance race format
for one or two drivers per car.
Radical SR3 Challenge
In its second season as the new-format Grove & Dean Motorsport
Insurance Radical SR3 Challenge, Radical’s premier UK
championship has again seen tight, fast racing at the head of the field
and continues to be the UK’s fastest single-make formula.
After a mature and consistent season, the Marks Electrical Racing
pairing of Peter Belshaw and Phil Keen emerged victorious from

Radical SR1 Cup
The Radical SR1 Cup has been THE great success story of UK
motorsport in recent years. To launch a new ‘championship-in-abox’ concept for novice racers to gain all the experience, confidence
and racecraft they need to compete successfully, and witness 24 eager
racers enter Paddock Hill Bend at Brands Hatch for the first time has
been a fantastic achievement.
The 2014 SR1 Cup package included a brand-new Le Mansinspired SR1 Cup racecar, intensive dedicated trackday tuition, a free
race suit and race entry fees to eight races at Brands Hatch, Snetterton,
Donington Park and Cadwell Park. It’s a concept that’s been welcomed
and acclaimed by industry professionals, with drivers already queuing
up to join the grid in 2015.
Matt Brookes scooped the 2014 Radical SR1 Cup with a confident
first and second place at Cadwell Park, although he didn’t make the
season easy for himself, including a back-row start at the previous
Donington round. Ultimately however he was able to hold station
above the chasing James Guess, and recent Radical convert Dave
Morgan, who scored both victories at Donington to show what an
open series the SR1 Cup is. Roll on 2015…

he 2014 season was a banner year for the GT Cup with grid
numbers regularly into the thirties as the championship’s
profile continued to rise. At the season’s finale, no fewer than
four titles were decided in the dying laps of the final races. It is this
level of drama and excitement that enticed ninety-four drivers to
participate in the GT Cup in 2014.
Jim Geddie claimed the overall title in the stunning McLaren
MP12C as well as GTO honours. Jim is no stranger to the
championship having won the very first GT Cup race in 2007. David
Walley however was new to the field, and did an impressive job to
take the GTB title at his first attempt. John Seale, ably assisted by
professional driver Jamie Stanley, claimed the GTC crown in his
Ferrari whilst Jeff Wyatt made it back-to-back titles in GTA. Once
again the 2014 GT Cup delivered excitement and drama in an
equal measure.
86
For 2015 the championship has implemented a number of
enhancements, including an extended calendar, taking in eight
circuits and 22 races. Rockingham will be a new addition, with the
GT Cup headlining five MSVR events and a return to the Brands
Hatch Grand Prix circuit as a major support event of the Blancpain
Sprint Series.
“I’m looking towards the coming season,” said GT Cup boss Marc
Haynes. “Continuity is key but we’ve also got some enhancements
on the way. We continually consult with teams and drivers and
believe in a process of continuous improvement. We have received
a significant level of competitor interest for 2014, which leads me to
believe we will have reserves for much of the coming season as we
did towards the end of 2014. The GT Cup grid will be a great sight
and we all look forward to getting under way.”

F3 cup
F3 Cup
F3 Cup offers drivers the most cost-effective way to race some of the
fastest cars in national motorsport. The 2015 season will see further
expansion as F3 cars produced between 2008 and 2011 will join the
1981-2007 F3 cars in the Championship.
Organised by MSVR, the racing division of major circuit owner
MSV, F3 Cup visits some of the best circuits in the UK, plus a trip to
Europe for an overseas round. The grid is split by age into different
classes and competitive, race-winning cars are available for well
under £50,000. A season’s competition is comparable to registration
alone in other lesser-powered single-seater championships, and only
F3 Cup offers drivers the chance to race Formula Three machinery.
The 2008-2011 cars are no strangers to the championship, Red
EuroV8series
Bull juniors Antonio Felix Da Costa and Carlos Sainz Jnr have both
competed in the Invitation class in recent years, so too has former
Lotus junior Kevin Korjus. Carlin’s 2013 British F3 charger Peter
Li Zhi Cong joined the championship at Spa in 2014, again racing
in the Invitation class, offering a glimpse of the season ahead. Li
was beaten by eventual Champion Toby Sowery after a close battle,
underlining how competitive the 2015 season will be!
Sowery’s dominant year in F3 Cup of 10 wins catapulted him to
within a close chance of beating Oskar Kruger to the seat of the 2015
Sunoco 200 Challenge. Only Alice Powell and Tristan Cliffe beat
Sowery in 2014, twice each, but missing the final rounds in favour
of the Qatar rounds of MRF handed Kruger the prize. Henry Chart
took advantage of Sowery’s absence to lead every lap of the final
races, beating Cliffe and Powell comfortably.
This coming season will be the fifth year of F3 Cup, having begun
in 2011 as a series. Aaron Steele was the class of the field in that
maiden year and his 14 F3 Cup wins ensured he was the first winner
of the Sunoco 200 Challenge. Championship status was granted for
the 2012 season, and it came down to a three-way shoot-out between
Chris Dittmann, Cliffe and Gino Ussi. Dittmann ran out champion,
despite a double win for Cliffe.
Alex Craven became the second-ever champion, again after a
final round shoot-out. Ex-GP3 racer Powell and Cliffe both visited
Snetterton with a title chance, but Craven proved consistency pays to
claim the championship.
There’s never been a better time to step into an F3 car with
F3 Cup.

T
he EUROV8SERIES in 2014 proved to be a worthy successor
to the SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES, which
became an un-doubtable star in modern motorsports.
Once again, the 2014 season featured a top-class battle between
several manufacturers including Chevrolet, Audi, BMW and
Mercedes. The 2014 success was enriched by the race attendance,
with 36,000 spectators joining and supporting the teams and drivers
on-track throughout the season. In addition to that, the international
media distribution reached 27 countries for a global media value of
100 million euros.
The challenge between two and four-wheel drive cars ended up
in favour of Francesco Sini and his Chevrolet Camaro. The Italian
was followed by the works Audi RS5 of Tomas Kostka and by the
Mercedes C63 AMG Coupé (R.R.T.) of Nicola Baldan.
Following the EUROV8SERIES for 2014, it is now time for a new
challenge, which will be revealed at the beginning of 2015...

Masters Historic Racing
Masters Historic Racing keeps history on track! Catering for
Formula 1, Le Mans-style sports cars, touring cars and GT cars,
Masters offers something for everyone with great racing and offtrack hospitality and camaraderie.
Our flagship series are both FIA sanctioned: the FIA Masters
Historic Formula One Championship and the FIA Masters Historic
Sports Car Championship. The FIA Masters Historic Formula
One Championship caters for cars of the Cosworth DFV era, up to
1983 all running in period livery and bringing memories back to
life. The FIA Masters Historic Sports Car echoes to the sound
of engines from the 1970s as Porsche and Ferrari take on Ford,
Lola, Chevron and Cooper. Jaguar E-types take on AC Cobras
at the head of the Gentlemen Drivers GT pack, while Minis
and Lotus Cortina perform giant-killing heroics in the popular
Pre-66 Touring Car category. And from the following period, the
great miscellany of touring and GT cars that raced in the 1970s
are represented in the burgeoning 70s Celebration that brings
together a truly eclectic mix of cars, from Minis to Porsches!
There’s action all the way proving that history never stops
being made.

The Historic Racing Drivers Club’s (HRDC) outlook is to bring back
and uphold the spirit of the type of ‘Club Racing’ that was prevalent
in the 1950s and ‘60s. This ethos of ‘Old School’ values has captured
the attention of many historic racers who feel that the historic racing
arena is in danger of becoming too overtly commercial, with less and
less focus on the people who work-on and race-in their treasured
cars in favour of harvesting the perceived wealth of those individuals.
Thus the HRDC provides a more stripped-down approach to racing,
with a greater emphasis on camaraderie and community spirit,
which evoke an altogether more harmonious atmosphere in the
HRDC race paddocks throughout each racing season. That’s not to
say that the level of racing is any less exciting in HRDC races – from
the cheeky manoeuvres Austin A35s and A40s to the bellowing
power slides of the Jaguar Mk.1 and Mk.7s, the competitive spirit of
HRDC racers is undiminished!
The 2015 season will see both HRDC Series (HRDC ‘Touring
Greats’ for pre-’60 historic Touring Cars’ and HRDC ‘Allstars’
for pre-’66 historic Sports, Touring and GT cars) contest dates
at premier U.K racing venues. Full information on how to get
involved can be found at

The Classic Sports
Car Club
Group C
Group C/GTP Racing recreates the great days of the Sports Cars
racing in the 1980’s when these cars raced in the world Sportscar
Championship. They were the ultimate super group of Le Mans
24hrs and still their appeal has not diminished!
The last five years has seen the series go from strength to strength
with members from around the globe taking part, making for a fast
but friendly environment at the best events around.
Each year usually sees us with a six-event season taking in some
The Historic Sports Car Club is Britain’s premier historic motor
racing club enjoying its 49th season of competition. Formed in 1966
to encourage the preservation and continued racing use of the classic
sports and sports racing cars of the 1940’s and 1950’s many of which,
technically outdated, were then being neglected and even forgotten.
The club runs an average of 12 race meetings a year including the
Cadwell Park Wolds Trophy, Brands Hatch Superprix, The Oulton
Park Gold Cup, The Donington Historic Festival the Thruxton
Easter Revival and both the Silverstone Classic and the Silverstone
International. It also adminsters a total of 16 Race Championships
and series including the FIA Historic Formula 2 International Race
Series which races at premier events throughout Europe.
In formulating its’ racing programme each year, the Club tries to
keep a balance between continuing to provide races for the early cars
and also creating opportunities for newer ‘historic’ cars. It now runs
events for sports racing and GT cars, road going sports cars, Saloons
and many single seater categories, all providing exciting racing.
Although classes differ, most cars must be pre-1980 to qualify.
In 2013 the HSCC launched a new series of races for the Super
Touring Cars, of the 1990’s. This attracted a lot of interest, including
former drivers Patrick Watts, John Cleland and Tim Harvey from the
period. Its popularity continues to grow attracting the attention of
the MSA British Touring Car package in 2014 where Super Tourers
joined the package at Oulton Park. They will again be supporting
one of the BTCC rounds in 2015. The HSCC continues to innovate
and is working with a number of parties to introduce new cars series
to their programme for 2015.

The Classic Sports Car Club was set up in 2001 by enthusiast racers
who wanted to offer racing at grass roots level and since then has
grown to over 850 racing members and is running nine race weekends
in 2015. Along with a full national race programme we also invite our
members to attend the popular Spa Francorchamps Summer Classic.
We organise eight race series of our own, including the new for 2015
‘New Millennium’ series for cars from the year 2000 to present day.
These are: Classic K, Swinging 60s, Tin Tops, Future Classics,

& Modsports, New Millennium. Most of our series run to the
race format we pioneered: a 30 minute practice and a 40 minute,
compulsory pitstop race for one or two drivers. The Special Saloons
and Modsports series run 2 x 15 minute sprint races, whilst the Classic
K series enjoy one hour races.
The CSCC organises all its own meetings and host various clubs
including the JEC, Ferrari Owners Club, Morgan Sports Car Club, to
name a few.
